摘要： A bottom-gusseted package comprises a package body, and a bottom gusset positioned transversely of a longitudinal axis of the package body. A top sleeve portion of the package body can be configured to include a recloseable fastener, a dispensing spout, or an upper package seal. Formation of the bottom-gusseted package is effected by positioning individual sleeves transversely of the longitudinal axis of a flexible web which forms the package body. During package formation, the flexible web is cut to form individual packages, and each individual sleeve can be cut to form a bottom gusset in one package, and a top sleeve portion in an adjacent package.

摘要： When manufacturing bags from tubular paper sections of a single layer or multiple layers, at least one end of each flat, tubular section is expanded into a bottom square. Lateral flaps formed in this way are folded such that they overlap and partially cover corner flaps. In order to easily bond expanded bottom squares together, the regions of the tubular sections which are to be bonded together are provided with coatings of thermoplastic which are heated and pressed together.

摘要： An apparatus for manufacturing cross bottom sacks from laid-flat tubular sections consists of a frame having:- a table, means for holding the tubular section thereon in a processing station where the ends of the tubular section become opened out into a bottom square or rectangle, a suction gap arranged in the table in the zone of one of the ends of the tubular section, and suction means mounted in the frame above the suction gap and which is able to be raised and lowered for opening one end of the tubular section. Above the plane of the tubular section situated in the processing station, a slide can be extended and retracted over the table in the direction of the median line of the tubular section, the median line of the slide defining with the median line of the tubular section a plane perpendicular to the plane of the tubular section. The width of the slide is less than the interspacing of the hypotenuses of the two opened-out corner folds from each other. The two shaping plungers are designed in a mirror image arrangement and are mounted for being raised and lowered onto the table; their shape corresponds to the shape of the corner folds.

When the liquid container is manufactured, it is preferable that films for the gusset portions are temporarily bonded to a film for the flat portion before the positioning of the delivery unit.

摘要： A device for pulling open continuously cross-conveyed tube sections for the purpose of forming bottoms in the manufacture of sacks has support tubes provided in pairs and connected to vacuum sources by lines. Each of the support tubes forms the coupler of two parallel connecting rods housed in a machine frame so as to rotate and is equipped with a row of radial suction units. A crank is connected to a shaft of a parallel connecting rod. A crank pin, supporting a slide ring or a roll, slides in a radial guide attached to a shaft. The shaft of the guide is offset relative to the parallel connecting rod shaft such that an essentially translational movement corresponding to the conveyance speed is superimposed on the opening movement of the row of suction units. In order to achieve a better opening of the tube section ends even at higher conveyance speeds, the radial guide is formed in a curved shape such that the time of uniform motion of the suction units and the tube section is lengthened.

摘要： Computer controlled method and apparatus for paper sheet bending in a bag making machine for making hand bags, pocketbooks, vanity cases, etc. Two computers are used to store the information needed to allow the machine to make bags of various types and sizes from paper of various qualities and thicknesses. Data concerning the bag itself is stored in the memory of a first computer while data concerning the properties of the paper to be used is stored in the second computer. Both types of data are needed to precisely and automatically position the guide plates for properly locating the desired bends in the paper. The bag type and paper type can be changed quickly with little loss in production time.
