    摘要: An apparatus and a method for the processing of semi-finished sacks and a gluing station for semi-finished sacks include a feed element and a guide element. Semi-finished sacks having more complicated shapes, such as tubular pieces having open bottom squares with valve patches inserted therein, tend to be subjected to a partial gluing process or even suffer damage during the process of glue application in the nozzle clearance. Therefore, at least one feed element is provided, which is disposed upstream of a glue-application gap in the transport direction of the semi-finished sacks, and which together with the guide element defines a feed region of the semi-finished sacks to the application head. Components of the semi-finished sacks are guided through the feed region, which tapers in the transport direction of the semi-finished sacks.

    摘要: A gusset bag is formed of a pair of flat surface parts facing each other, and side gusset parts folded to the inside of the bag. The gusset bag has side heat-sealing portions at which the sides of the flat surface part and sides of the side gusset parts are joined at the inner surfaces thereof, side heat-sealing portions at which the sides of the flat surface part and the other sides of the side gusset parts are joined at the inner surfaces thereof, and closing sealing portions at which the side heat-sealing portions and the side heat-sealing portions are joined at the outer surfaces of the side gusset parts by ultrasonic sealing. With this configuration, in the gusset bag, it is possible to easily close the gusset parts, while preventing film pieces or dust from entering the bag in a step of closing the gusset parts.

A pattern of E.B. curable adhesive is applied to a first surface of a first continuous web of pouch forming material as it is pulled continuously through the web coating station to render the interface bondable at a seal pattern and non-bondable in the area of the storage compartment when subjected to Electron Beam radiation. A second web is directed into a face-to-face relationship with the first web in the collating station and the collated webs are pulled through the E.B. curing station and irradiated with E.B. radiation to bond without heat distortion the bondable areas of the web at the interface while leaving the non-bondable areas free from securement and the pouches are cut from the webs by slitting into ribbons and transverse cutting individual pouches and stacking same.

    摘要: A method of producing a synthetic foil flat-bottom bag capable of receiving liquid, fluid or pourable material and capable of standing up-right when filled, in which a bag closed at the bottom and open at the top is spread apart at opposite sides whereby at its bottom, a bottom surface with two outwardly pointed triangular tips is formed. The two tips are compressed flat with their two-foil walls and are folded downwardly by approximately 180.degree. about a fold line laterally spaced from the bottom of the bag, while the tip ends are placed against the underside of the bottom wall. Thereafter the two tip folds are crease-welded. The thus produced bag has a supporting surface which is enlarged by the welded multi-layer folds and is stabilized, and tightly sealed by the crease welds in the area of the tip. The folding of the tip is preferably effected by means of a form plate which has two parallel form edges extending beyond the bottom surface of the bag. Upon folding and prior to crease-welding of the tips the form plate is removed.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a square bottom bag is disclosed herein. The method comprises the steps of driving a web in a first direction and bending the web upon itself across its width as it is driven in the first direction to assume a U-shaped configuration, supporting the main panels of the web in the open U-shaped configuration and folding the side closure forming panels towards one another to an overlapping relationship and securing the side closure panels in the overlapping relationship to form side walls of a bag. The bag forming machine consists of a frame, a former mounted in the frame and a guide means for guiding an unwinding web around the former and drive means for driving the unwinding web around the former. Folding means is provided at opposite sides of the former for engaging the side wall forming portions of a web and folding them inwardly around the former to form closed side walls of a bag. Roll stock specifically designed for use in the method and apparatus is provided wherein a first pair and a second pair of bands of adhesive material of a type which is inactive to form a bond until placed in contact with an adhesive of the same type are applied to the inner and outer faces of the web adjacent said edges thereof. The bands of the first pair are laterally spaced with respect to the bands of the second pair so as to be out of alignment with one another in successive turns of the roll stock such that the successive turns are not adhesively secured to one another. An empty square bottom bag is provided which consists of a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall formed from a unitary panel and including a band of adhesive on the outer face of said panel extending along the marginal edge portion of each side panel, the panels being folded inwardly so that the band of adhesive on one side panel is disposed at an interface with another side panel and therby secures the side wall panels with respect to one another in an overlapping relationship to close opposite sides of the bag and retain front, bottom and back walls in an open U-shaped configuration.
