Abstract:
A method and device for processing printed products made of multiple paper sheets is disclosed. The paper sheets are moved in the direction of a leading open edge and the paper sheets are connected to each other in a detachable manner in the region of the edge.
Abstract:
A web-fed printing press is disclosed. The press having at least one printing unit for printing at least one printing substrate web, and having at least one processing device for processing the at least one printing substrate web, a control device for controlling the at least one processing device, and a fastening device for arranging the at least one processing device at an arbitrary web feed position between a reel changer of the web-fed printing press and an exit of a folding unit of the web-fed printing press in such a way that the at least one processing device is able to process the printing substrate web on an upper side and/or on a lower side and/or on one or both edges of the same.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for treating substrates which device is modular and versatile in use. The device for treating substrates comprises a feeder and one or more first sub-structure modules which each comprise a pressure cylinder with devices for fixing a lift and a sheet-conveying device and one or more second sub-structure modules which respectively have a transport cylinder with openings formed on the cover surface thereof, and having devices for fixing a lift and a sheet conveying device. All of the first or second sub-structure modules have the same intersection point for connecting the sub-structure modules on one of the inlet and the exit side and they all can be equipped with an attachment module.

Abstract:
A system and process for aligning printed images on a rolled product with perforation lines being formed into the product is disclosed. According to the process, the position of printed images are sensed as the images are being printed onto a substrate, such as a tissue strip. The images are printed onto the substrate using a printing device including at least one rotating print roller. In order to maintain the printed images in alignment with perforation lines being formed into the substrate, the speed of the print roller is adjusted in order to adjust the length of the printed images.
Abstract:
A cylinder for processing sheets of printing material includes a clamping channel having a central region and edge regions. A tool plate punches and/or scores and/or perforates the sheets. A support plate carries the tool plate. A first clamping system clamps the support plate and has a first holding device for holding a front end of the support plate and a second holding device for holding a rear end of the support plate. The first holding device and the second holding device are disposed in the edge regions. A second clamping system clamps the tool plate and has a third holding device for holding a front end of the tool plate and a fourth holding device for holding a rear end of the tool plate. The third holding device and the fourth holding device are disposed in the central region. A printing press having the cylinder, is also provided.
Abstract:
Apparatus (1) for changing a blade of a rotary die cutter, particularly for flexographic printing machines: a magnetic cylinder (3) configured to receive and support a die-cutting blade (5, 5′); a station (7) for inserting the blade (5, 5′) has a retention device (70) configured to retain the blade (5) in the insertion station; a guiding device (71) guides the blade (5, 5′) toward the magnetic cylinder (3); a station (9) for extracting the blade (5, 5′), has an extraction device (90) configured to remove the blade (5, 5′) from the magnetic cylinder (3).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for perforating a sheet of paper in an offset printing process is provided. The method includes producing a perf plate, which creates the perforations, by printing an image onto a printing plate. The image is produced by a desktop publishing application. The printed image produces guidelines on the printing plate, to which a selected perf rule is applied. The perf rule is selected according to the style of perforation that is desired for the specific application. The perf rule is attached to the printing plate within the guidelines by an adhesive backing of the perf rule, as well as a layer of tape over the perf rule to ensure the perf rule stays in place.
