摘要: A display image is obtained by superimposing an image showing a vehicle on a captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle. For example, the image showing the vehicle is a computer graphics image. For example, a change is made in a superimposed positional relationship between the captured image and the image showing the vehicle in accordance with motion of a viewpoint of a driver. Since the display image is not only made from the captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle, but the display image is obtained by superimposing the image showing the vehicle on the captured image, it is possible to easily provide a sense of distance by motion parallax.

摘要: An optical member includes a light guide having: an incident surface on which an external scene light is incident from a blind area; a first reflecting surface that reflects light from the incident surface; and a second reflecting surface that reflects light reflected by the first reflecting surface. The optical member further includes a prism having: an exit surface that emits light from the incident surface and light reflected by the second reflecting surface to outside; and a light shielding surface connected to the exit surface to intersect the exit surface. A light from the incident surface and a light reflected by the second reflecting surface are incident on the light shielding surface. The light shielding surface has a rough surface, and a surface roughness of the rough surface is larger than a surface roughness of the exit surface.

摘要: A cloaking device includes an object-side, an image-side, and a cloaked region (CR) between the object-side and the image-side. An object-side CR reflection boundary, an object-side half-mirror, and an object-side external reflection boundary are positioned on the object-side, and an image-side CR reflection boundary, an image-side half-mirror, and an image-side external reflection boundary are positioned on the image-side. The object-side half-mirror and the object-side external reflection boundary are spaced apart and generally parallel to the object-side CR reflection boundary, and the image-side half-mirror and the image-side external reflection boundary are spaced apart and generally parallel to the image-side CR reflection boundary. Light from an object located on the object-side of the cloaking device and obscured by the CR is redirected around the CR via two optical paths to form an image of the object on the image-side of the cloaking device.

摘要: A cloaking device includes an object-side, an image-side, an object-side curved cloaking region (CR) boundary having an outward facing mirror surface and an inward facing surface, and an image-side curved CR boundary an outward facing mirror surface and an inward facing surface. A cloaked region is bounded by the inward facing surfaces of the object-side curved CR boundary and the image-side curved CR boundary. At least one exterior boundary with an inward facing mirror surface is spaced apart from the object-side curved CR boundary and the image-side curved CR boundary. Light from an object positioned on the object-side of the cloaking device and obscured by the cloaked region is redirected around the cloaked region to form an image of the object on the image-side of the cloaking device such that the light from the object appears to pass through the CR.

摘要: A vehicular integrated mirror system is provided that is supported on a vehicle body that includes a door, and has an outside mirror disposed outside a vehicle compartment and an interior mirror disposed within the vehicle compartment at a position in the proximity of the outside mirror so that, in cooperation with the outside mirror, a vehicle rear field of vision is obtained, wherein a mirror holder retaining the outside mirror and the inside mirror is swingably supported on mirror support means mounted on the vehicle body in order to change the reflection angle of the two mirror relative to a vehicle driver, and the reflection angle of the outside mirror and the inside mirror is changed by remote drive means that makes the mirror holder swing by remote operation. This enables the reflection angle of the outside mirror and the inside mirror to be remotely controlled.
