    摘要: There are provided an illumination unit and a display apparatus which are capable of improving convenience for users. The illumination unit includes a light source section including a laser light source, an optical device allowing a laser beam from the laser light source to pass therethrough, a drive section allowing the optical device to oscillate, and a control section performing one or both of control of decreasing brightness of emitted light from the light source section and control of outputting to the outside information that oscillation of the optical device has been stopped when the oscillation of the optical device has been stopped during drive operation by the drive section.

    摘要: A multi-imager camera having a focusing means attached to each imager in the form of a Z actuator and having an image-splitting optical assembly that splits the scene's energy to the individual imagers while maintaining the full scene coverage and while having all imagers placed in the same back-focal-distance that matches that of the camera's lens. The above camera focuses the individual imagers to different parts of the scene by individually controlling the Z actuator of each imager, and captures all images instantaneously for real-time on-board image processing or for post processing.

    摘要: This invention discloses a color separation prism assembly. The prism assembly includes three triangular-shaped prisms having identical shape and size. Each of the three triangular-shaped prisms has two triangular surfaces as interfacing surfaces bonded to two identical triangular surfaces of two other prisms. At least two triangular surfaces of the three triangular-shaped prisms are coated with color separation filtering films for reflecting a first color light and transmitting a second color light therethrough. At least two triangular surfaces of the three triangular-shaped prisms are coated with a total reflective coating constituting at least two total internal reflective (TIR) surfaces for reflecting a light projected thereon. Each of the TIR surfaces further comprising a phase-shift compensating coating coated thereon. The color separation prism assembly further includes three liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) modulating means for modulating a separated color beam color-separated and projected thereon through the color separation prism assembly. The three triangular-shaped prisms with identical shape and size are further assembled as a combined prism.
