Abstract: A cargo restraint panel may include a foam component. That foam component may have at least one polymer foam sheet. A front face fibrous reinforcing material may be bonded to and substantially cover a front face of the foam component. A rear face fibrous reinforcing material may be bonded to and substantially cover a rear face of the foam component. The cargo restraint panel may include one or more edge guards. Cargo may be secured in a railcar or other conveyance by, e.g., placing cargo restraint panels between cargo units.

Abstract: A laminated construction tape for use as balcony flashing tape, flashing for roofing joints, foundation flashing, step flashing under siding, balcony and breezeway flashing, and the like, the laminated construction tape includes a flexible, spun bonded polyester strip and a first layer of adhesive longitudinally extending along and covering a central strip of the spun bonded strip. A layer of reinforcing polyester yarns is bonded to the spun boned strip by the first layer of adhesive. A second layer of adhesive is applied to the spun bonded strip and is coextensive with the strip and covers the layer of reinforcing as well as the edges of the spun bonded strip on each side of the band of polyester yarns which have a combined width of approximately greater than twenty five percent and less than fifty percent of the overall width of the construction tape. A release strip is applied over the second layer of adhesive and is removable for application of the laminated construction tape to a building junction site.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for stabilizing cargo within a transport container. First and second tubular elements are provided having generally cylindrical bodies and bearing members at a terminal end which can react against opposing surfaces within the transport container and stabilize cargo within the container. An extension mechanism allows for the extension and selective translation between the first and second tubular members allowing the apparatus to extend and fill the space between opposing surfaces within the transport container and stabilize the cargo. A method for stabilizing cargo within a transport container includes providing an extensible load stabilizer having first and second tubular elements, each having a bearing member, positioning the load stabilizer between opposing surfaces within the transport container, and extending the tubular members with respect to each other, and stabilizing a surface of cargo against an opposing surface.

Abstract: A cargo restraint component such as a cargo restraint panel or a component of a load restraint strip system (e.g., a connecting strip or a load restraint strip) may comprise an attached RF beacon. Additional non-limiting examples of cargo restraint components that can comprise an attached RF beacon include a fluid filled member (e.g. an inflatable air bag), a layered structure (e.g. cardboard dunnage material with an internal honeycomb structure), a cargo retaining strap, a bracing member, a portable bulkhead, an non-skid mat, and an expandable load stabilizer. An RF beacon attached to a cargo restraint component can be configured to transmit identifying data. In some embodiments, an RF beacon attached to a cargo restraint component may include one or more sensors that can measure one or more environmental parameters.
