摘要： The invention relates to a system and method for analyzing an activity session. Data from a monitoring device worn by a user of the system for example is received over a period of time or distance and a classification system of the invention is utilized in real time or post session to determine the activities performed by the user during the session. The data collected relates to multiple parameters monitored during the activity session. The classification system defines an activity using a set of threshold criteria for a combination of parameters and therefore identifies a particular activity performed during the activity session when a combination of monitored parameters satisfies the threshold criteria for a particular activity. Determining the activities performed in this way allows for more useful interpretation of the data which in turn leads to more effective coaching advice and feedback for the user.

摘要： A system and method for enabling broadcast programs to be copied once only by consumer recorders includes writing a unique media identification on each blank disk to which content is to copied in a read-only area of the disk before it is initially recorded. Also, a one-way key management media key block is written to the disk. A content key is derived by combining a media key, derived from the media key block, with the media identification. Additionally, to facilitate copying the content one time only, an exchange key is established between the recorder and a sender such as a satellite receiver or a disk player that is associated with the recorder, and the exchange key is modified with one or more special numbers representing control commands including copy once and copy no more. The modified exchange key is then encrypted using the content key to render an encrypted modified exchange key, and the encrypted modified exchange key is then hashed with a nonce to render a bus content key. The bus content key is then used to encrypt the data for copying the data to a disk. Unauthorized attempts to copy the data after the first authorized copy has been made cannot succeed because the media ID is different on subsequent blank media. Further, if illegal clones are manufactured that can calculate the media key, new blank media can change the media key block such that the clones can no longer calculate the correct media key. Authorized players, however, can decrypt the data to display it.

In an enhanced drift mode, the second transport energy is equal to the final energy for highest beam purity at low energy.

摘要： A load restraining device that provides a system in which straps extending from one side of a web strap arrangement initially run parallel to the wall to which they are connected, as opposed to extending perpendicular to the wall as in the prior art. The anchor itself is a horizontal wall member running longitudinally along the wall of the railcar or trailer. An adjustable anchor is used to permit moving the attachment point several inches to allow for load variations. The attachment of the web strap arrangement is normally 14″ to 18″ behind the face of the load. Unlike previous systems, this provision of anchor points behind the load effectively “encapsulates” the load rather than merely providing a bulkhead effect.

摘要： An irrigation control system is disclosed for controlling the irrigation of horticultural plants or crops grown in containers The system includes a beam assembly for supporting the plant media system and a load cell for providing an electrical output signal proportional to the load applied to the beam assembly by the plant media system. The load cell is interfaced with a microcomputer which executes a control program of the present invention. The control program reads the signal from the load cell at selected intervals and signals for an irrigation event if the current weight of the plant media system is less than a predetermined base weight. A new predetermined base weight is calculated and reset after each irrigation event. In this way, the system bases the initiation of an irrigation event on real time, short term, differential weight change of the plant media system due to evapotranspiration, while allowing for compensation of weight change effects due to other factors such as fruit set, plant weight, pruning and harvesting.

摘要： A system and method for enabling authorized music from a CD or DVD to be compressed by a user for the user's own use, but to prevent the recompression of unauthorized music from, e.g., the Internet, includes hashing the music during recording with a cryptographic hash, and then signing the hash with a digital signature derived from the hash. Subsequent unauthorized compression and recompression will destroy the digital signature. Accordingly, music to be recorded is hashed to obtain a test digital signature and if, after hashing, the test digital signature matches the digital signature accompanying the music, compression and recording are allowed to proceed.

摘要： An enclosed antenna assembly having a non-rigid, floating connection between an aluminum tray and a radome along the length of the assembly. The non-rigid, floating connection along the length of the antenna assembly provides a seal that is not damaged or degraded as a result of thermal expansion and contraction of the dissimilar materials. The tray and radome are joined along their length by a tongue and groove type connection, which allows free movement along the major axis. A top end cap provides the only rigid connection between the tray and the radome. A bottom end cap is fastened only to the radome. The design of the keyway and the top end cap prevent direct water intrusion. The bottom end cap includes weep holes to allow condensation to escape from the interior of the antenna assembly.

摘要： An optical recording medium comprises a light reflecting material coated with a light absorbing material which is coated with a transparent barrier layer and overcoated with a relatively thick transparent protective layer. During recording, portions of the light absorbing layer are ablated by a modulated focussed light beam, thereby exposing portions of the reflecting layer while leaving the barrier and overcoat layers intact. Information is recorded in the form of a reflective-antireflective pattern. The overcoat layer suspends dust particles far above the focal plane of the recording lens, thereby reducing their effect on the recording or playback signal. The barrier layer insulates the light absorbing layer and the overcoat layer from chemical and thermal interactions which might result in a decreased signal-to-noise ratio.
