The plurality of coupling apparatus are configured to couple the modular top container to a modular railcar. The floor panel is configured to support the weight of the lading when detached from the modular railcar.

摘要: A rail vehicle, in particular a locomotive, has at least one bogie with a bogie frame supported resiliently on sets of wheels, and a superstructure, which is supported resiliently on the at least one bogie and is mounted rotatably about a vertical axis, with a under frame. A removal device for removing snow and/or ice is arranged between the under frame and the bogie frame. The removal device has an inclined sliding surface which at least partially covers the bogie frame. Deposits of snow and/or ice both on the bogie frame and on the under frame of the superstructure can thereby be prevented or eliminated.

摘要: The present invention relates to a solebar for a railway vehicle having an elongate body that comprises a first leg and a second leg, wherein the first leg and second are configured to meet at a vertex and have an obtuse angle θ therebetween such that the solebar has an obtuse L-shaped cross-sectional profile. The solebar may be configured to be mounted as an underframe side member in a railway vehicle such that the first leg extends in a downwardly direction towards a floor supporting the railway vehicle and clears a lower sector loading gauge and the second leg inclines upwardly in a direction away from the railway vehicle and clears an upper sector loading gauge. The second leg may be configured to support an upper sidewall of the railway vehicle body such that the upper sidewall clears the upper sector of the loading gauge. The first leg may be configured to support a lower sidewall of the railway vehicle body such that the lower sidewall clears the lower sector of the loading gauge. Due to the configuration of the solebar and mounting arrangement of the upper sidewall and/or lower sidewall on the solebar the volumetric capacity of the hopper wagon body is increased. The present invention also relates to a railway vehicle comprising a first solebar arranged to form a first underframe side member with an obtuse L-shaped cross-sectional profile. The railway vehicle may further comprise a second solebar that is arranged to form a second underframe side member with an obtuse L-shaped cross-sectional profile and extends parallel to the first solebar.

摘要: A railcar includes an underframe and an energy absorber provided at the underframe. The underframe includes a first end beam, a second end beam, and a sliding center sill connecting the first end beam and the second end beam with each other. The sliding center sill includes a first beam member connected to the first end beam, a second beam member connected to the second end beam, and a coupling member coupling the first beam member to the second beam member. The first beam member slides relative to the second beam member when the coupling member breaks by application of an impact load higher than a predetermined load. The sliding center sill and the energy absorber are arranged in a region located between the first end beam and the second end beam.

摘要: A wear member for use between a pair of relatively movable components of a railway vehicle is provided where the wear member comprises a metal support adapted to be supported on one of the pair of components and a liner attached to the metal support wherein the liner is made of a polymeric matrix material which is reinforced by a metal structure having openings therein and such metal structure is disposed substantially centrally between opposed surfaces of the polymeric material and the opposed surfaces include a smooth antifriction wear surface engageable by the other of the pair of relatively moveable components; and, the liner is attached in position by metal members extending between the metal structure and the metal support through polymeric material disposed therebetween with a plurality of welds welding the metal members in position between the metal structure and the metal support.
