    Abstract: A body structure of a vehicle includes a coupling member made of fiber reinforced plastic including fibers impregnated with synthetic resin and a pair of rear fixing members that have a bending rigidity higher than the coupling member and fix both end portions in the longitudinal direction of the coupling member to a vehicle body. Boundary portions between the pair of fixing members and the coupling member are formed in both end portions in the longitudinal direction. A distance between the boundary portions on the rear side is different from that between the boundary portions on the front side that extend along neutral axes defined by the lines of intersection between the neutral plane of bending moments of the coupling member and the lateral cross sections of the coupling member when a bending load is input through the pair of rear fixing members to the coupling member.

    Abstract: An A-pillar structure in an electric vehicle for increasing vehicle rigidity and decreasing potential damage to the vehicle battery and to passengers. The A-pillar structure may include a surface and various ribs and bosses that protrude outward from the surface. The A-pillar structure may include three main cross ribs that being along a front edge of the A-pillar structure and extend rearward in the longitudinal direction toward two bosses. The bosses may be coupled via additional ribs to an anchor structure that is secured to the body structure and/or chassis of the electric vehicle. The rib configuration influences the transfer of energy through the A-pillar structure in the event of a collision.

    Abstract: To provide a vehicle body cover structure for a saddled vehicle, capable of achieving restrictive improvements on rigidity of the vehicle body cover. A vehicle body cover structure for a saddled vehicle includes a radiator shroud formed of a fiber-reinforced resin covering an outside of a vehicle body. The fiber-reinforced resin is formed of a cloth woven from warp threads and filling threads formed of fibers. In the vehicle body cover structure, the radiator shroud has the cloth disposed thereon. The cloth has disposed thereon a bisector that divides an angle formed between the warp threads and the filling threads into two equal parts. The bisector is disposed so as to extend along a line segment that connects between a third mounting portion to be fixed to a vehicle body side and a front end portion that is farthest from the third mounting portion.
