    摘要: A control device (1) for a hydrostatic steering motor comprises supply and return pump and tank connections (P, T), a slide valve arrangement in which inner and outer slide element sleeves are rotatable relative to each other to both sides of a neutral position through a limited small angle, said sleeves mutually forming controlled supply and return passages connected to said motor having supply and return throttles which are closed when said sleeves are in a neutral position, bypass throttle means (7) between said pump and tank connections (P, T) being open when said sleeves are in a neutral position, said bypass throttle means (7) having a set of at least two variable orifices connected in series. In such a device the noise should be reduced when a higher supply pressure of hydraulic fluid is used.

    摘要: A vehicle steering system for motor vehicles includes a steering handle, which is connected to steerable vehicle wheels in terms of effect in order to predefine a driving direction, as well as a hydraulic working cylinder including two cylinder chambers. Further, a hydraulic pressure source is provided, which applies hydraulic pressure to a steering valve designed as a slide valve. The steering valve controls the magnitude of the hydraulic pressure that is conveyed to the cylinder chambers of the working cylinder, and a differential pressure determines the effective direction and the magnitude of the steering aid. The steering valve is a slide valve and includes a control assembly comprising a control sleeve and a control slide. The control sleeve has at least one control window, and the differential pressure in a non-linear relationship depends on the free cross-sectional surface of the control window, which is variable due to displacement of the control slide. The edge of the control window is so configured that the free cross-sectional surface of the control window changes in such a fashion that the magnitude of the differential pressure depends substantially linearly on the displacement of the control slide.

    摘要: A control valve for a hydraulic power steering system includes a pair of flow circuits arranged in parallel. Each flow circuit includes an upstream and downstream flow orifices arranged in series. Each set of orifices defines between the orifices an intermediate pressure zone of the valve. Both orifices close together from a centered condition of the valve and fully close substantially together at a fully closed condition of the valve. The downstream orifice is larger than the upstream orifice when open to minimize the likelihood of cavitation and noise. An equalization passage fluidly connects both intermediate pressure zones to equalize pressure despite variations in orifice size due to manufacturing tolerances. The control valve includes a bypass passage in parallel with the flow circuits. A pressure relief valve in the control valve has a normally closed valving member in the bypass passage that opens the valve in the event of overpressure.

    摘要: A valve (10) for controlling flow of hydraulic fluid. The valve (10) has first and second valve members (80, 82) which have a plurality of lands and grooves. The valve members (80, 82) are relatively movable from a neutral position to a displaced position in which surface segments (202, 226, 208, 218) of respective pairs of lands overlap to form flow gaps (232, 234) for restricting flow of fluid between respective pairs of grooves. At least one (234) of the flow gaps is divergent by having a cross-sectional flow area which increases along a direction of fluid flow and at least one (232) of the flow gaps is convergent by having a cross-sectional flow area which decreases along a direction of fluid flow. The flow gaps (232, 234) have minimum cross-sectional flow areas (A, B) defined by the surface segments. The flow gaps (232, 234) are sized such that the minimum cross-sectional flow area (A) of the convergent flow gap (232) is larger than the minimum cross-sectional flow area (B) of the divergent flow gap (234) for suppressing valve noise.

    摘要: In each of both ends of a land portion provided between channels which are formed in a slidable contact surface of a rotor assembled in a sleeve so as to be rotationally displaceable relative to the sleeve and thus control connection and disconnection of fluid paths, a chamfer is formed from an edge to a throttling action end portion of the land portion of the rotor so as to have at least one flat acting surface and a curved acting surface continuously connected to the flat acting surface. The curved acting surface of the chamfer is formed to have a smooth, continuously curved surface with a radius of curvature which decreases gradually from a connection portion with respect to the flat acting surface to a point at which it is connected to an outer diameter portion of the rotor. When a throttling action is performed by rotationally displacing the rotor with respect to the sleeve, an angle defined between the flat and curved acting surfaces at a connection point between them and an angle defined between the curved acting surface and a tangent at a point at which the curved acting surface is connected to the outer diameter portion of the rotor are maintained small, which reduces fluid noise caused by cavitation.
