摘要: A line hauler on a fish tender vessel is mounted to a port or starboard quarter location of a deck of the vessel. A loop of floating line is wrapped around the line hauler, extends toward the bow of the vessel to a pulley mounted on a respective port or starboard side, then extends down to the sea, then extends on the surface of the sea adjacent the respective port or starboard side to at least the location where the line hauler is mounted to the deck, and then extends from the surface of the sea back to the line hauler. The loop of line moves in a circle when the line hauler pulls on the line. Lead lines are connected to the line. Fishing vessels attached to the lead lines are pulled alongside the respective port or starboard side of the vessel when the line hauler pulls the line.

摘要: A mooring system for mooring a vessel floating on a surface of a body of water. In some embodiments, the system can include a base structure configured to be secured to a seabed, a yoke configured to be pivotably connected at a first end to the base structure about an axis of the base structure, a weight connected to the yoke, a turntable that can include a rotating part configured to be disposed on the vessel and a fixed part, a link arm that can include a first end configured to be connected to a second end of the yoke and/or the weight and a second end configured to be connected to the fixed part of the turntable such that the vessel is rotatable with respect to the link arm about a central axis of the turntable.

摘要: Mooring tensioning arrangement (10) on a vessel (60), comprising a moonpool (20) having a through miming vertical channel with an upper moonpool opening (22) in proximity to a deck (62) of the vessel (60), and a bottom moonpool opening (24) open to surrounding sea (30). A winch (14) is located above the moonpool (20), wherein a first anchor wire pennant (42) runs from the winch (14), over a stern (64) of the vessel (60) and into sea (30), and a second anchor wire pennant (46) runs from the winch (14), through the moonpool (20) and into the sea (30). A wire/chain stopper (18) securing the second anchor wire pennant (46) is placed in the moonpool (20), and the bottom moonpool opening (24) is curved to match bending 0radius and to provide a transition in direction of the second anchor wire pennant (46).

摘要: A line hauling device such as a windlass is disclosed for marine craft. The device has a support, a drum held on the support and rotatable with respect to the support, a motor for selectably driving rotation of the drum in a forward (hauling) direction and a reverse (paying out) direction, and a line laying mechanism for laying the line onto the drum. The drum is adapted to store the line on the drum. When operated in the forward direction, the line-laying mechanism lays the line onto the drum in a first series of turns. On completion of the first series of turns the line-laying mechanism lays the line in a second series of turns overlying the first series of turns. The line-laying mechanism includes a carriage which is driven reciprocally with respect to the drum by rotation of the drum.

摘要: A method and structure for mooring seaworthy craft against boat landings is disclosed. The structure comprises a fender (4) with a layer of compressible material having an exposed surface, mounted on the craft. Anchor points (12) are secured at laterally spaced locations on the craft, as are two draw mechanisms (14), one associated with each anchor point (12). A tie (10) is provided for extending from each anchor point (12) to its associated draw mechanism (14), and each mechanism is operable to draw its respective tie from an anchor point around a pylon thereby urging the fender (4) against both pylons. In the mooring process, the craft is first steered to the boat landing to engage the fender (4) against the pylons (6), and the ties (10) are withdrawn from each draw mechanism (14) and taken around one of the pylons. Each tie is then attached to an anchor point (12) on the craft, and the mechanisms (14) are activated to draw the ties (10) around the pylons to urge the fender (4) against them. A control system maintains the required tension in the ties to secure the mooring.

摘要: An integrated, electro-mechanical system to distribute anchor chain relatively equally in a yacht's/boat's/ship's anchor chain locker during recovery of the anchor. One embodiment of the Chain Flaker System invention will: (1) fit a Fleming F-78 chain locker and fit other vessels' similar chain lockers with minimal changes; (2) minimally obstruct access into the chain locker; (3) well handle 600′ of ½″, or more length of, smaller diameter chain in a Fleming F-78 and adapt to handle more, and/or larger diameter, chain and/or other vessels with similar access to, but different sized, chain lockers; (4) be economic, robust, reliable, and easy-to-maintain, including because intentionally simple mechanically (e.g. single hydraulic cylinder or linear servo unit of L-shaped chain distribution model or single hydraulic or electric driver of figure 8 shaped chain distribution model); and (5) be easy and safe to operate as essentially automatic with safety features to minimize risk of injury.
