Abstract:
The present invention provides a medication dispenser enabling the controlled sequential delivery of a regimen of pills on an as-needed basis with a predetermined prescribed minimum time interval between delivery of each pill, from any flat multiple pill-containing pack of the blister package type having at least one column of pills to be dispensed, said dispenser comprising: a) an access portal sized to receive at least one any such blister pack and to guide said pack to at least one electromechanical blister pack advancing unit which in turn sequentially advances said pack to a stationary de-pilling station, said station comprising: i. pill detecting means; ii. a blister pack support having at least one pill receiving aperture, sized and positioned to receive pills of different sizes, shapes and spacing in said blister pack array; and, iii. an electromechanical depilling press means positioned, upon activation, to force at least one pill at a time from its respective blister through the backing of said blister via said aperture as said blister pack is advanced through said stationary
Abstract:
A medicine feeding device including a support portion (32) for supporting a seal surface side of a press through pack (5), a press section (33) for pressing the housing recess portions (9) from one side other than the seal surface of the press through pack (5), and a cutter (38) for making a cut slit in the sheet (11) at a boundary portion between the housing recess portions (9) and the seal surface (8) at least before the sheet (11) is broken or the medicine (6) is damaged by the pressure exerted by the press section (33).
Abstract:
A method of filling a multi-dose blister card first includes selecting a first intermediate blister card comprising a plurality of tablets of a first product stored within a first plurality of intermediate blisters. Additionally, a multi-dose blister card including a plurality of multi-dose blisters that are empty is selected. The plurality of tablets of the first product from the first plurality of intermediate blisters are transferred into the plurality of multi-dose blisters. Next, a second intermediate blister card including a plurality of tablets of a second product stored within a second plurality of intermediate blisters is selected. The plurality of tablets of the second product are then transferred into the plurality of multi-dose blisters such that at least one of the multi-dose blisters contains one tablet of the first product and one product of the second product.
Abstract:
A system for unstrapping and unsleeving a tray is provided. The system comprises a tray-transport configured to transport a tray in the system, a strap cutter configured to cut a strap on the tray, a strap-removal portion configured to remove the strap cut by the strap cutter, and an unsleeving station configured to remove a sleeve from the tray. The unsleeving station is configured to remove the sleeve from the tray after the strap-removal portion removes the cut strap.
Abstract:
A device (10) for releasing a pill (101) from a blister pack (100) wherein, the device (10) includes a generally E-shaped housing member (20) having an upper tier (21) and an intermediate tier (22) provided with aligned apertures (25) (26) and a lower tier (23) provided with a transverse recess (27) wherein, the apertures (25) (26) are dimensioned to receive the shaft (31) of a plunger member (30) that will release the pill (101) into a trough member (40) through the aperture (26).
Abstract:
The medicine feeding device includes a support portion 32 for supporting a seal surface side of a press through pack 5, a press section 33 for pressing the housing recess portions 9 from one side other than the seal surface of the press through pack 5, and a cutter 38 for making a cut slit in the sheet 11 at a boundary portion between the housing recess portions 9 and the seal surface 8 at least before the sheet 11 is broken or the medicine 6 is damaged by the press exerted by the press section 33.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a blister pack device for storing and dispensing a dosage unit, comprising a container having an opening for receiving a blister pack. The container is provided with a dispensing means for ejecting a dosage unit from a blister or the blister pack, the dispensing means comprises a lever arm pivotally mounted on the container and a cavity in the container for receiving an ejected dosage unit wherein the lever arm has a first open position allowing the blister pack to be positioned under the arm and a second lowered position for ejecting the dosage unit from the blister into the cavity.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for removing tablets from a blister pack including formations for receiving the tablets and a rupturable foil member which seals the formations. The foil member is rupturable to allow removal of the tablets from the blister pack. The de-blistering apparatus works essentially by using an adhesive coated tape to mount and draw the blister pack through a depressing station and a foil removal station. In the depressing station, the foil which seals the tablet within the formations is ruptured and in the foil removal station the ruptured foil is removed from the blister pack to free the tablet.
Abstract:
An unwrapping apparatus unwraps a slide pack wrapped with a wrapping sheet to obtain a slide contained therein. As paired rollers forward the slide pack, a squeezing member squeezes the slide backward within an unsealed space in the slide pack to form a wide cut allowance at the front edge of the slide pack. After the slide reaches the rear end of the unsealed space, nip pressure applied to the slide pack by the paired rollers is reduced to further forward the slide pack to a predetermined position. At the predetermined position, a cutter partially cuts the cut allowance to form a slit thereon. Then, the slide pack is transferred back by the paired rollers under a raised nip pressure which is sufficient to squeeze the slide out from the slit. Accordingly, the slide will be gradually separated from the wrapping sheet.
Abstract:
A hand tool for quickly and effortlessly removing common forms of tablets and capsules individually from blister card and strip packaging is provided in a simplified form generally similar in overall appearance to a pliers-type hand tool. After positioning a desired pill-containing pocket of a blister package on the specially-configured lower jaw of the tool, the handles are squeezed together, pivoting the opposing jaw member downward against the top of the pill pocket and forcing the pill contained therein to move downwardly through an opening in the lower jaw, tearing the foil cover sheet of the package, whereupon the tablet will fall freely into a tablet-catching bucket member disposed beneath the lower jaw where the pill is maintained safely against inadvertent dropping or misplacing.
