Abstract:
A drink cup includes a body formed to include an interior region providing a fluid-holding reservoir and a brim. The brim is coupled to the body to form an opening into the interior region. The body includes a floor and a sidewall that extends away from the floor. The drink cup further includes a body-strengthening system coupled to the body.
Abstract:
A pleated paper container for holding a food product or non-food product, comprising a base, side walls, a rim, and a stopper step disposed at the side walls proximate to the rim, wherein the stopper step is configured to receive and frictionally engage a fibre lid in a covered position, thereby closing an opening of the container and enclosing the product. Also provided is a disposable pleated paper container with a lid, which are recyclable and compostable. A method and apparatus for manufacturing the pleated paper container is also disclosed, as well as a method for adapting a conventional condiment cup manufacturing apparatus to manufacture the improved pleated paper container.
Abstract:
A container for holding at least one article includes a body having a front wall, a back wall, and at least one side wall extending at least partially around an interior of the container, a lid repositionable between a closed position at least partially overlying the body and an open position at least partially raised away from the body, the lid comprising a lid panel and a lid flange extending upwardly from the lid panel to at least partially form a lid recess, a reinforcement member at least partially received in the lid recess, and a closed bottom comprising a bottom panel attached to a portion of the body.
Abstract:
A container includes an outlet defining an opening that is in fluid communication with an interior portion of the container, the outlet having a central axis. The container also a neck portion having an upper structural ring lying in a first plane that is substantially perpendicular to the central axis, and a lower structural ring lying in a second plane that is substantially perpendicular to the central axis, wherein the first plane and the second plane being separated by a vertical distance. The neck portion may have a gusset extending between the upper structural ring and the lower structural ring, and the gusset may have a plane of symmetry, wherein the central axis lies in the plane of symmetry. The container further includes a shoulder beneath the neck portion, a waist section beneath the shoulder, and a base beneath the waist section.
Abstract:
Small batch packaging for vial seals and vial stoppers is provided. The packaging includes a vial tray having a plurality of individual spaced-apart vial receptacles for receiving respective vials. The packaging also includes a vial seal tray having a plurality of individual spaced-apart seal receptacles for receiving respective vial seals. The packaging further includes a stopper tray having a plurality of individual spaced-apart stopper receptacles for receiving respective vial seals. A seal channel may extend through the plurality of individually spaced-apart seal receptacles to form a clearance for facilitating grasping of each vial seal. Similarly, a stopper channel may extend through the plurality of individually spaced-apart stopper receptacles to form a clearance for facilitating grasping of each vial stopper.
Abstract:
Provided is a can body in which a skirt part of the cap attached to a curl part certainly wraps to fixable and pressure resistance can be improved. A cylindrical part and a mouth part connected with a neck part with a smaller diameter than the cylindrical part are provided with; the mouth part has a curl part at an outer peripheral part which is made by folding a tip outward in a radial direction to round up; and in a vertical cross section on a can axis, a concave part is formed toward a lower side in the can axis direction, between an outer peripheral-lower side bent part which is convex diagonally downward on an outer peripheral part of the curl part and a curl end part having the tip.
Abstract:
A plastic container is provided that includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion; and a closure. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, threads, a tamper-evident formation, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In an embodiment, the weight of the neck portion is 3.0 grams or less; and the vertical distance from the top of the dispensing opening to the lower surface of the support flange, including the threads and the tamper-evident formation, is 0.580 inches or less. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A container including an opening defined by a finish portion, and a base at an end of the container opposite to the opening. The base includes a standing ring extending inward from a heal to a center pushup portion. The center pushup portion includes an pushup ring surrounding an inversion portion. In an as-blown position the inversion portion extends outward and beyond the pushup ring such that the inversion portion is further from the opening than the pushup ring. In a final position the inversion portion is inverted relative to the as-blown position such that the inversion portion extends inward so as to be closer to the opening than the pushup ring. The inversion portion is mechanically moved from the as-blown position to the filled position with an inversion device after the container has been filled to reduce vacuum or increase pressure within the container.
Abstract:
A plastic container is provided that includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, a tamper-evident formation, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In an embodiment, the volume of the container is at least 500 ml; the weight of the neck portion is 3.0 grams or less; and the vertical distance from the top of the dispensing opening to the lower surface of the support flange, including the threads and the tamper-evident formation, is 0.580 inches or less. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The inward and outward deflection of sidewalls of a holding tank for liquids is reduced or eliminated by sidewall reinforcing stringers that extend between the sides and which are located inside the tank. The stringers, maintain the separation distance between the sidewalls to keep the sidewalls substantially parallel to each other.
