    摘要: A composite structural material suitable, for example, as a replacement for wooden boards, sheets, or posts, is disclosed. It comprises a dimensionally stable core material substantially surrounded by a dimensionally stable, laminar covering that is adherent to the core material. The laminar covering is comprised of at least one band of substantially parallel reinforcing cords bonded to at least one layer of a dimensionally stable web material selected from the group consisting of rigidified paper and rigidified cloth. Preferably the band of reinforcing cords is sandwiched between two layers of rigidified paper or cloth. The core material can be, for example, a foamed synthetic resin with or without filler. A continuous process for manufacturing the material is disclosed.

Thus, the pallet is easily handled by workers. The pallet includes: an upper plate unit having a rectangular shape, with a plurality of pressed embossments formed on the upper plate unit; a lower plate unit placed opposed to the upper plate unit, the lower plate unit having a rectangular shape with a plurality of pressed embossments formed on the lower plate unit; and a locking unit placed between the upper and lower plate units and locking the upper and lower plate units to each other.

    摘要: A pallet includes a pair of rails with inner side surfaces that have mortises formed therein near their top surface and are arranged facing each other. Load deck boards extend between the rails and have ends that substantially correspond to the mortises. The boards are inserted into the mortises to form a mortise joint. Fixing members formed of integral legs conform to the outer surfaces of the rails. A flange extends from each leg along its length and in a direction such that one of the flanges can be inserted into a longitudinal groove formed in an outer side surface of a rail and another flange can be inserted into another corresponding groove that is formed in the top surface of the rail and in the boards, thus securing the boards to the rails. The flanges of the fixing member are removable from the grooves, and the boards are removable from the mortises to permit disassembly of the pallet.

    摘要: A block shipping pallet is constructed of multiple laminations of corrugated sheet material, with specific construction details providing advantages in strength and trueness of the completed pallet, and further advantages in the reduction of tooling and labor costs. The pallet comprises top and bottom sheets with a series of blocks formed of multiple laminations of corrugated sheet material sandwiched between. The top and bottom sheets, and particularly the intermediate blocks, may be sawn from stacks of plural laminations, thus precluding any requirement for costly dies and intensive labor. Asymmetrical corrugated sheets may be used with one side having a different weight than the other. By laminating two such sheets together with like weighted sides in contact, the tendency of such sheets to curve or warp due to the difference in side thickness is substantially eliminated. Different orientations of the corrugations or flutes of the sheets during lamination and assembly of the pallet, provide advantages in strength for specific applications. The pallet may be constructed of plural laminations of various corrugated sheet materials, such as paperboard or fiberboard, or plastic.
