Abstract:
A manufacturing assembly line for producing an article including a first spray coating station for applying a plastic spray coating to an existing wooden pallet, a second grinding or pulverizing station for reducing the coated article into finely ground particles of a uniform dimension, and a third heating station for converting the mixture into a molten or flowable state. The assembly line further includes a fourth extruder station for forcing the mixture at pressure through an extruder die aperture of a selected cross sectional configured extruder, and so that the mixture is reformed as an elongated article and a fifth cutting station for sectioning the extruded article into selected lengths for subsequent attachment or securernent into a desired configuration.
Abstract:
A paper pallet according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a plurality of leg beams each formed such that a cross section thereof has a rectangular shape, each leg beam being long in one direction. At least one of the plurality of leg beams includes: a laminated structure in which a plurality of sheet-like paper core materials are laminated in a width direction of the leg beam orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the leg beam and which has a cavity formed therein; and a honeycomb structure fitted into the cavity of the laminated structure and having a plurality of tubular cells extending in the width direction.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a pallet bottom with a first side with a first edge, a second side, a third side with a third edge, and a fourth side, where the first side is adjacent to the second side and opposite the third side and the second side is opposite the fourth side. Each side includes an opening for receiving forks. The apparatus includes a first edge board along the second side connected between the first and the third edges, a second edge board along the fourth side connected between the first and third edges, and a deck plate connected to the first and third edges. The deck plate spans between the first edge board, the second edge board, the first edge and the third edge. The deck plate engages the first and the second edge boards at least at a mid-section of the first and the second edge boards.
Abstract:
A modular packaging system for shipping and displaying palletized products is provided. The packaging system comprises a plurality of vertically stacked trays for holding the products, corner posts extending between vertically adjacent trays for spacing and supporting the trays, and one or more separate elongated braces located under and supporting one or more of the trays. The ends of the braces extend into openings in the corner posts. The system is strong enough not only to support the weight of the products on the trays and withstand the vibration and impact forces that can occur during shipping, but to withstand the weight of one or more units stacked on top.
Abstract:
A collapsible shipping container is capable of configured from a collapsed position for storage and transportation to a constructed position for containment of articles therein and back again to the collapsed position after use. The collapsible shipping container comprises a foldable tray having at least two pallet runner sleeves spaced apart from one another and each of which being formed on respective opposed lateral edges of the foldable tray. A plurality of elongated pallet runners each of which having an inner support structure integrally formed thereto. The plurality of elongated pallet runners each of which is adapted to be inserted into each of the respective plurality of pallet runner sleeves. A foldable side wall body is adapted to rest upon the foldable tray to form an interior space to receive a plurality of articles. The foldable side wall body comprises end walls, side walls, and side body flaps to form an enclosed bottom thereof. Each of the end walls includes an articulation fold formed therein so that during the collapsed position, the articulation folds move toward the interior space and during the constructed position, the articulation folds move away from the interior space. A lid is configured to telescopically enclosing the collapsible shipping container.

Abstract:
A pallet exhibiting a three dimensional shaped and buoyant inducing body with enhanced load supporting capabilities. The body exhibits a rectangular profile and is constructed of at least one of a corrugated paperboard, plastic or composite material and coated with a plasticized spray. An inner core defined within a three dimensional interior of the body is constructed of any plural arrangement of inner extending, interconnected and frame defining components, at least one of the components and/or the outer surfaces being coated with a plasticized spray. The inner constructed core can further include any of a structural paperboard, bamboo, other tubular material, or structural foam. In a further variant, a standard pallet design of upper and lower cross pieces separated by spaced apart bridge pieces is provided, and in which the individual members are each configured with structurally defined inner cores according to any of the above constructions.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing pallet runners and pallets constructed using them for use in the storage and/or transport of goods and, more particularly, to a low cost, strong, recyclable, reinforced pallet and runner design.
Abstract:
A support device is provided for supporting one or more objects above a ground surface. The device includes a QO body portion and location means associated with the body portion to allow location and/or engagement of one or more objects with the device in use. The body portion has at least one compartment defined therein for containing strengthening means.
Abstract:
A structurally reinforcing and three dimensional article, such as a pallet, having a structural insert of specified shape and size. A composite plasticized material is over-molded or otherwise applied upon the structural insert according to a selected thickness to encapsulate the insert. The pallets are stackable when not in use and may also include built in straps for securing cargo thereupon.
