    摘要： A garbage truck includes a motor truck having a garbage container provided thereon. The garbage container confines a garbage receiving space and has a top end provided with a garbage inlet opening and a rear side provided with a garbage outlet opening A power-operated hoisting unit is provided on the motor truck adjacent to the garbage container. The hoisting unit is operated so as to move garbage into the garbage container. A power-operated top cover unit is provided on the top end of the garbage container so as to cover the garbage inlet opening. A power-operated side cover unit is provided on the rear side of the garbage container so as to cover the garbage outlet opening. A power-operated push plate unit is movably provided inside the garbage receiving space opposite to the garbage outlet opening. The push plate unit is operated so as to push garbage out of the garbage container through the garbage outlet opening.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to a mobile refuse retriever which is to be used to pick up and carry away objects such as bar garbage bags, bundles of trash, limbs, rubbish, and the like. The present invention utilizes on a motorized vehicle a hydraulic crane having a cage on its free end to grasp or scoop the refuse. The crane then deposits the refuse on the receiving end of a conveyor carried by the vehicle. Also carried by the vehicle is a packer body having a packer plate with a normally closed door therein. The discharge end of the conveyor deposits the refuse through this door and onto the operative side of the packer plate.

    摘要： A lifting apparatus is adapted for use in lifting a container having a pair of channels, each of the channels having a pair of open ends. The lifting apparatus includes an elongated support bar and a hook assembly mounted on each end of the support bar. Each of the hook assemblies includes a pair of hooks and a hydraulic cylinder and piston for rotating the hooks between open and closed positions. The container is lifted by lowering the support bar with the hooks in the open position until the hooks can be rotated into the open ends of the two channels. The hooks are then rotated to the closed position so that the hooks extend into the channels. The lifting apparatus is then raised to lift the container.

    摘要： Methods and apparatus for positively positioning receptacle at a pre-selected location. In a preferred embodiment a system for positioning a receptacle is provided. The system includes a transmitter, a receiver, and an indicator. The transmitter may be on the receptacle and transmits a signal from the current receptacle position. The receiver receives the signal and using the received signal, causes the indicator to indicate whether the receptacle is at the pre-selected position. In other preferred embodiments, the receptacle includes a power supply for the power consuming components on the receptacle. In another preferred embodiment, the transmitter is at the pre-selected position and the receiver is on the receptacle. Methods are also provided which include transmitting and receiving a signal from the current position of the receptacle. From the signal strength it is determined whether the receptacle is at the pre-selected position.

    摘要： A truck-mounted pickup arm assembly for collecting, lifting, and placing objects and trash and recycling materials in the truck includes three boom sections to facilitate articulation of the arm in complex configurations to extend to the front or side of the truck, to reach over obstacles, and to pick up articles and materials and place them into a top loading opening in the truck. The pickup arm assembly includes a turntable mounted on the truck bed adjacent to and rearwardly of the truck cab. A main boom is pivotally secured to the turntable on a horizontal pivot axis, so that the main boom may pivot through approximately 180.degree. in the space between the truck cab and the truck body. A coupling assembly is joined about one axis to the upper end of the main boom, and an intermediate boom is joined to the coupling about another, orthogonal axis. An outer boom is pivotally joined at one end in to a clevis end of the intermediate boom. A clamshell assembly is pivotally secured to the outer end of the outer boom. The turntable is power-driven, and all booms and the clamshell assembly are each manipulated by a power assist device. In a further embodiment, the turntable is supported on laterally extending rails or guides, so that the turntable may be translated laterally to either side of the truck bed. In another embodiment, a rail support extends longitudinally along the upper surface of the truck body and truck cab. A multi-boom pickup arm assembly is supported on a carriage that is adapted to travel along the rail support to permit the pickup arm assembly to engage objects and articles in the front or rear of the truck. In another aspect of the invention, a pickup arm assembly is supported by paired, laterally opposed arms pivotally joined on either side of the truck body to move the arm forwardly or rearwardly.
