摘要： There is disclosed a linerless label web roll wherein the label web has a patterned coating of pressure sensitive adhesive on its underside between marginal side edges and at marginal side edges of the label web. The adhesive is provided in longitudinally extending laterally spaced stripes of adhesive with intervening adhesive-free zones. The label web can be supported and/or guided by support or guide elements which contact the adhesive-free zones in a suitable utilization device such as a printer or label applicator.

摘要： First and second sheet guides (21, 31) are arranged individually in front and at the back of a print head (6) in a sheet feeding direction. Each of these sheet guides (21, 31) has an arcuate end edge opposite to the print head (6), the width-direction central portion of the end edge being located at the longest distance from the print head so that the space between the end edge and the print head gradually increases with lateral distance from the width-direction central portion of the end edge. In consequence, the leading end portion of a sheet that is printed by means of the print head (6), especially its opposite ends, can be prevented from abutting against the sheet guides (21, 31) and causing jamming due to deformation of the sheet or the like as the leading end portion of the sheet passes through a gap between a conveyor plate (9) and the sheet guides (21, 31).

摘要： A flexible web guiding apparatus including; a turnaround roller; a pinch roller positioned in driving engagement with said turnaround roller and defining a nip therebetween; and a web guide for accurately directing an end of the web into the nip defined by the turnaround roller and the pinch roller to cause the web to move between the pinch roller and the turnaround roller without stubbing against either roller. The accuracy of the web guide is achieved by wear plates that are affixed to the web guide and spaced apart to permit the web to move therebetween. The wear plates are maintained in friction contact with the turnaround roller for controllably maintaining the spacing between the web guide and the turnaround roller.

摘要： A mechanism for automatically taking up film strip material on to a driven spool comprises a fixed guide to direct the film around the spool, and a pivotally-mounted guide for directing the film back on to itself so the leading end is entrained between the spool and a remote portion of the film. 摘要： Apparatus for producing sheets of corrugated board from a moving web includes stationary upper and lower slitter devices for slitting the web longitudinally into a plurality of narrow webs and means for leading each of these narrow webs to a selected one of three cutoff devices located at different heights. The means for leading the narrow webs to the cutoff includes stationary director-support means and presettable automatic lead-in table elements that are selectively operable between three positions. The lead-in table elements are also operable as a group to a raised position wherein they are retracted so as to permit a workman to clear jams or otherwise service the apparatus.
