摘要: Detachable sheet feeding units are connected to an image forming apparatus. A transmitting unit transmits a feeding instruction via a signal line to a sheet feeding unit that is to perform sheet feeding. A first sheet detector, which is placed in the sheet feeding unit, detects a sheet that has been fed from the sheet feeding unit. A second sheet detector is provided downstream of the first sheet detector in terms of the sheet conveyance direction. If the feeding instruction is transmitted and a plurality of sheets are fed from the sheet feeding unit, an image formation controller determines whether to cause the image forming operation to continue or stop based upon whether a sheet-to-sheet interval of a plurality of sheets has been detected by the second sheet detector in a state in which the result of detection by the first sheet detector indicates presence of a sheet.

摘要: A sheet receiving and stacking apparatus has an infeed tray to which sheets are sequentially fed with their printed side facing upwardly starting in order, sheet one to the last sheet of a set or job, and continuing through the last sheet of the set or job, the trailing end of successive sheets being elevated and progressively moved upwardly to form a stack of sheets commencing with the first fed sheet with the last fed sheet of a set or job at the bottom and stacked on an upper run of a sheet elevating device which provides a stacker for stacking sets or jobs in sequential order with the first fed sheet of each set or job on top. The method of receiving sheets fed sequentially from a printer or copier with an upper printed surface, including the steps of: establishing a sheet infeed location extending horizontally, moving the leading end of successive sheets progressively beneath the previous sheet, while progressively raising the trailing end of successive previous sheets, and stacking a group of said sheets with the printed surfaces facing upwardly in the order fed above said infeed location.

摘要: A device for decollating stacks of flat objects includes a stack magazine. The base of the stack magazine supports the stack and includes revolving rollers that form a continuously moving series of rollers, pass underneath the stack magazine, and roll along the lowest object of the stack. A conveyor system is arranged underneath the upper run of the series of rollers and extends at an angle to the series of rollers. The lowest object that is removed from the stack by one passing roller is deposited on the conveyor system. A suction device moves or suction devices move between the rollers in the cycle in which the rollers pass underneath the magazine. The suction device or devices pulls or pull down one lateral edge of the lowest object between two rollers. The leading roller still supports the stack via the object and the trailing roller passes between the object and the object situated above so as to cause a secure separation of the lowest object from the stack. In order to transfer the decollated objects from the first conveyor to the transfer conveyor such that their lateral edges extend parallel to the transport direction, the transferring conveyor system includes conveyor elements that move in parallel and are driven at different speeds.

摘要: In the sheet splicing apparatus 1, a sheet holding bar 28b (28a) is arranged along the width of the end potion of the sheet 26 from the secondary roll 24. The end portion of the sheet 26 is removably attached to the sheet holding bar 28b (28a), which moves between a position P for attaching the end portion of the sheet and a position Q for splicing it to the sheet 12 from the primary roll 10. On the sheet holding bar 28b (28a), a plurality of holding pins 58 are removably mounted spaced along the width of the sheet 26. These holding pins 58 hold the sheet by piercing through the sheet 26 in the thickness direction thereof and have a sheet stopping portion 70b for preventing the sheet 26 dropping off the holding pins 58.

摘要: A stacking apparatus for printers, to build up a stack (20/1, 20/2) of individual sheets (13), includes two transport systems, designed in the form of roller cages (1/1, 1/2), for individual sheets, which systems are arranged axially parallel next to each other. Each of the roller cages (1/1, 1/2) has on its periphery roller-shaped transport elements (3) which extend in the axial direction of the roller cages (1/1, 1/2) and are spaced apart by gaps. They individually surround separate partial depositing surfaces (7/1, 7/2) of a common, inner depositing surface which crosses through both roller cages (1/1, 1/2) and is for receiving the individual sheets (10) to be stacked. By moving the roller cages (1/1, 1/2) in opposite directions, the roller cages centrally take up the individual sheets (10) to be stacked and transport them into a depositing position arranged above or below the roller cages (1/1, 1/2). At the same time, the transport elements (3), designed as transport rollers, roll on the individual sheets (10) or on packets of individual sheets. This produces a stacking apparatus for individual sheets with which the stack can be built up both from the bottom and from the top.

摘要: A high speed sheet feeder machine includes at least one pusher that follows a loop-shaped path of travel as the machine operates. The pusher pushes an insert into an envelope during a forward and downward part of its path of travel and then retreats rearwardly and upwardly along the loop-shaped path of travel before repeating an insertion. In this way, the pusher makes no abrupt changes in its path of travel. Very high rates of insertion are made possible by providing multiple pushers at longitudinally spaced apart intervals along the loop-shaped path of travel. A stop plate is integrally formed with each pusher assembly and a fixed position barrier is mounted on the machine adjacent the rearward end of the loop-shaped path of travel to prevent over-rotation of each pusher member at very high speeds.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of forming a layup of wood veneer sheets and an apparatus suited for implementing the method. In the method, each of the sheets (1) is first taken separately into a forward-feed position on a level situated above the layup (2). Next, the sheet is lowered with its tailing edge first onto an intermediate platform located above the desired laying point in the layup, and further therefrom, the sheet is lowered with its leading edge first onto the layup. The apparatus includes a conveyor (6) arranged to run as an endless loop. The conveyor is adapted to perform a continuous loop travel during the entire cycle of the sheet-laying sequence. The conveyor bars supporting the sheet are omitted from a given section of the conveyor loop thus facilitating a stepwise lowering of the sheet onto the intermediate platform, and therefrom, further onto the layup. The alignment of the sheet is accomplished by means of a tailing edge stop (4).
