Abstract:
A tension fluctuation alleviating device, for use in a fabric printing apparatus including a fabric supplying device, a printing mechanism, a guide between the fabric supplying device and the printing mechanism, and a fabric take-up device, the fabric printing apparatus configured to perform printing on the fabric while intermittently sending the fabric to the printing mechanism, includes a support member provided between the fabric supplying device and the guide device and extending across a width direction of the fabric, and a tension relieving member including an elastically deformable elastic portion supported by the support member and extending from the support member toward the fabric, and a contacting portion closer to the fabric than the elastic portion and contacting with the fabric.
Abstract:
A sheet processing device includes: a folder that forms a plurality of folds on a sheet such that a fold part and a part with no fold of the sheet overlap with each other; a conveyance unit that conveys the sheen on which the folds are formed by the folder; and a pressing part that presses the fold part of the conveyed sheet in which the fold part and the part with no fold overlap with each other, from a side on which the fold part is located.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transporting folded signatures is provided which includes a first roller and a second roller forming a first nip with the first roller. The first and second rollers each have a compressible outer layer, and are rotatable about respective axes. Preferably, the compressible outer later comprises a microcellular foam. The apparatus also includes a plurality of first transport tapes passing through the first nip and a plurality of second transport tapes passing through the first nip. The plurality of second transport tapes are wrapped at least partially around the second roller so that a signature transported between the first and second transport tapes between the first nip undergoes a change in transport direction as it is transported at least partially around the second roller. Preferably, the signatures enter the first nip perpendicular to a plane passing through the axes of the first and second rollers.

Abstract:
A paper-feeding roller, made of a cylindrical elastic material, which is used for a printing apparatus of ink jet type, with the paper-feeding roller mounted on a core, wherein a friction coefficient (&mgr;) of the paper-feeding roller is set not less than 1.5; and the following relationship is established among the friction coefficient (&mgr;) of the paper-feeding roller, a tensile elongation E (%) thereof, and a fracture-time strength T (MPa) thereof: 15>(E×T)/(&mgr;×100)≧5.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a device for varying a cylinder's effective diameter. It includes a shell member being removably mounted on a surface of a cylinder. On the easy exchangeable shell member having a base plate an elastic material is provided allowing for a compressible surface gain.
Abstract:
To provide a bill dispensing device capable of handling bills widely differing from each other in paper quality and creases with high reliability and of handling all the bills of widely different lengths with respect to a delivery direction. A bill dispensing device comprises a bill container for containing sheets, rotating feed rollers for feeding bills to the next device, respectively having highly frictional parts (rubber members) in their circumferences, and nonrotatable gate rollers disposed opposite to the feed rollers and respectively having highly frictional parts in their circumferences. Pickup rollers respectively having highly frictional parts in their circumferences are disposed coaxially with the feed rollers and not opposite to the gate rollers so as to rotate together with the feed rollers.
Abstract:
A sheet takeout and separation device of an embodiment has a takeout section, a sending section, a separation portion. The takeout section takes out a sheet. The sending section sends out the sheet taken out by the takeout section. The separation portion is provided so as to come in contact with the sheets taken out in an overlapping state by the takeout section, and separates the sheets one by one. In addition, the separation portion has a separation portion main body and a cover. The separation portion main body elastically deforms in accordance with a thickness of the sheet. The cover is provided on the separation portion main body so as to come in contact with the sheet. And, on a surface of the cover, a surface roughening treatment for enhancing a friction coefficient of the relevant surface is performed.
Abstract:
An end cap sleeve stretch sub-assembly for holding the ends of the sleeve portion of a spreader roller assembly being rotatable on a stationary shaft, including a pivot arm assembly for adjusting the angular displacement of the end cap assembly with respect to an axis of the shaft in order to expand and contract sections of the roller assembly resilient sleeve, an outer bearing ring and bearing assembly including a slide ring which is adapted for slidable adjustment parallel to an axis of the shaft on the outer bearing ring in order to preload the end cap sub-assembly by adjusting the tension on the sleeve, and a clamping assembly for securely attaching the sleeve portion to the outer slide ring.
Abstract:
A deflectable lifting device can be mounted to a frame, work surface or other support in a material conveyance system. The device can have a base mounted in the support, and a bendable arm arranged in the pathway of the conveyance system. When a sheet or web of material travels over the deflectable lifting device, the bendable arm can bend and deflect downwardly, but still contact and lift the sheet or web, providing a small margin of elevation or lift to the sheet or web. The sheet or web can therefore be elevated above edges, holes, or other obstructions in the pathway that could jam or snag the delivery of the material.
