摘要: Methods and systems for indicating the displacement of a flexible web are described. An elongated, flexible web includes an integral scale having scale features configured to modulate energy directed towards the web. A transport mechanism provides relative movement between the web relative to a transducer. The transducer detects energy modulated by the scale features and generates a signal indicting a continuous web displacement based on the modulated energy.

摘要: Carrier roll winder for winding a material web divided by longitudinal cuts, e.g., a paper or board web, which has two carrier rolls arranged to form a roll bed on which the wound rolls rest with axes aligned as they are wound up. A pressure roll system is included, which has a crossmember running horizontally and displaceable vertically, to which a pressure roll having an axis parallel to the crossmember is fixed. The crossmember, including the pressure roll carried by it and other units carried by it, has a mass M of 9.25·I2.5, where M is the mass in kilograms and I is the length in meters. And, on a surface of the cover, a surface roughening treatment for enhancing a friction coefficient of the relevant surface is performed.

摘要: A meandering correction apparatus includes a transport mechanism, an orientation measurement part, a Young's modulus calculation part, a meandering prediction part and a meandering correction part. The transport mechanism transports an elongated strip-shaped base material in a longitudinal direction thereof along a transport path. The orientation measurement part measures fiber orientations of the base material in respective measurement regions on the transport path, the measurement regions being different in widthwise position from each other. The Young's modulus calculation part calculates Young's moduli of the base material for the respective measurement regions, based on the fiber orientations. The meandering prediction part predicts subsequent meandering of the base material, based on the Young's moduli, to output meandering prediction information. The meandering correction part corrects the widthwise position of the base material, based on the meandering prediction information. The meandering correction is made based on the fiber orientations of the base material. Thus, the widthwise position of the base material is corrected without depending on only edge sensors.
