摘要: A paper pressing unit is composed of two cylindrical paper pressing portions, connecting members to which the paper pressing portions are each connected, and rotational shafts protruding outward from the central parts of the connecting members along the longer sides thereof, and is rotatably supported between frames provided inside the apparatus and disposed in the width direction of the processing tray (in the direction perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 2). The paper pressing portions are disposed in such a way that a surface of a circular cylinder whose cylindrical axis corresponds to a line passing through the rotational shafts is divided thereby into equal parts (into two equal parts). The paper pressing portions travel on the same orbit as the paper pressing unit rotates.

摘要: This invention pertains to processing continuous webs such as paper, film, composites, and the like, in dynamic continuous processing operations. More particularly, it relates to transferring discrete parts to a continuous web, whether paper, film, composite, or the like. Specifically, the invention relates to methods and apparatus for taking discrete parts from a source in a taking zone, optionally taking the discrete parts as components of a continuous web, onto a transport head on a transfer assembly, severing the discrete parts from the continuous web if received as part of a continuous web, rotating the transfer assembly about a first axis and correspondingly rotating the transport head about a second axis radial to the first axis, to thereby present the discrete parts to a receiver in a transfer zone, and transferring the discrete parts to the receiver in the transfer zone. The invention includes using a roughened taking section on the transport head, interacting with textured surface on the discrete parts, to hold the discrete parts to the transport head, with optional use of suction through the transport head to assist in holding the discrete parts to the transport head. Novel apparatus is included for delivering suction to and through rotating slip rings.

摘要: A post-processing apparatus that rotates a rotation paddle in which a fin having flexibility is cantilevered by a holder to apply a conveying force along a rotation direction to a sheet to align the sheet, wherein the holder includes a recess in which a peripheral surface part from a support position of the fin to an upstream side in the rotation direction is recessed from a circumscribed circle of the holder, and when the fin elastically turns while being pressed against the sheet with rotation of the rotation paddle, turning of the fin is allowed until the fin comes into contact with a surface of the recess.

摘要: Apparatus for combining newspapers from a pair of newspaper stuffing assemblies into a single stream of overlapped newspapers. A rotatable tine wheel has on its periphery a number of movable newspaper receiving tines interspersed with a like number of fixed newpaper receiving tines. Newspapers are fed to the fixed tines from a pocket of a newspaper stuffing assembly and to the movable tines from a feed apparatus supplied by a conveyor from a second stuffing assembly. The fixed and movable tines alternately deposit the newspapers upon a single delivery conveyor overlapping a previously deposited newspaper to form a single, lapped stream. The movable tines are movable between a newspaper receiving position and a position out of the newspaper receiving path of an adjacent fixed tine.
