Abstract:
A braking content determiner determines a content of braking control on a rotating operation such that rotation of a paper feeding motor stops within a time required for stopping from a time point of detection of a sheet by a sheet sensor to a time point of passing of a trailing edge of the sheet through a paper feeding roller, the time required for stopping being determined based on a length of the sheet in a sheet conveying direction, a predetermined speed of the paper feeding roller, and a distance between the paper feeding roller and the sheet sensor in a sheet conveying route. A controller performs the braking control on the rotating operation of the paper feeding motor, according to the content determined by the braking content determiner, upon or prior to the detection by the sheet sensor of the sheet sent out by the paper feeding roller.
Abstract:
There are provided a roll sheet conveying apparatus and a sheet conveying control method wherein it is possible to control motor driving for conveying a roll sheet at appropriate timing to keep constant the tension of the sheet to be conveyed without performing a special identifying operation. For this feature, a relationship between friction load torque on the roll sheet and the mass of the roll sheet is previously stored in a storing unit, whereby the moment of inertia of the roll sheet can be detected at appropriate timing during printing. As a result, the optimum tension of the sheet to be conveyed can be maintained by appropriately adjusting the driving control of a sheet feeding motor and a conveying motor without performing a special identifying operation.
Abstract:
A controller for a motor is configured to rotate a roll of material. The controller includes a drive speed regulator configured to generate an initial torque command based on a difference between a speed setpoint and a measured drive speed of the motor. The controller also includes an observer module configured to estimate a density error of the roll of material. The initial torque command is adjusted based on the density error to obtain a total torque command. The controller also includes a torque regulator configured to control the motor based on the total torque command.
Abstract:
In a sheet aligning apparatus, a sheet is conveyed from a conveying-in path into a sheet storing section through an open end portion and the leading end of the sheet comes in with a stop member. Thereafter, when a shifting section shifts the stop member from an initial position to a first position, the sheet is shifted inversely together with the stop member and the back end of the sheet proceeds as the inversed leading end from the open end portion to a conveying-out path so that a succeeding sheet is allowed to be conveyed from the conveying-in path into the open end portion. When the sheet is shifted inversely, a shift regulating section regulates the shift of the sheet in such a way that the back end of the sheet is prevented from proceeding more than a predetermined distance due to the inertia of the shift.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for decelerating an inverter-controlled machine reel in a paper machine. The method includes detecting a break in a paper web from a machine reel, determining the inertia of the machine reel, determining continuously the angular speed of the machine reel, and determining continuously the torque required to decelerate the machine reel, on the basis of the determined inertia and angular speed, for the purpose of stopping the machine reel in a predefined time. The method also includes decelerating the machine reel electrically to stop the machine reel, in accordance with the determined torque, and using a mechanical brake when the rotation speed of the machine reel is lower than a predefined rotation speed and when the torque obtained by electrical deceleration is too small to stop the machine reel in a predefined time.
Abstract:
In a method for controlling a storage roller for storing sheet-type objects, in particular banknotes, between the wound layers of a belt-type film, which is spooled to and fro between a film drum, which is driven by a first motor and comprises a film reservoir roll, and a winding drum, which is driven by a second motor and stores the sheet-type objects, the tension of the film is controlled to a predefined set value.
Abstract:
A sheet feeding device used for an image forming device which has a print part, such as the laser printer. A control part drives a separation roller installed under the print part and the paper supplying roller and supplies the printing paper to a resist roller individually. When a predetermined time passes afterwards, the control part drives the resist roller and transports the printing paper to the print part. In this case, a curve part enables miniaturization of the entire device as a result of being installed in a vertical part of the sheet guide.
Abstract:
A printer includes a transportation unit that transports roll paper, a winding unit that winds up the transported roll paper, and a controller that controls the transportation unit and the winding unit. The controller switches between thresholds for a torque limit of the winding unit on the basis of inertia of the winding unit and a speed at which the roll paper is transported when the winding unit winds up the roll paper in synchronization with a transportation operation of the transportation unit.
