A jacket section feed mechanism at a first one of the stations feeds a jacket section into each of the pockets in turn. A plurality of single inner section feed mechanisms feed inner sections one at a time into an open jacket section in each of the pockets in turn. A plural inner section feed mechanism is operable to feed a plurality of inner sections at a time into a jacket section in each of the pockets in turn.

摘要： A machine for assembling sheets of laminar material such as paper in bundles, comprising: a certain number of receptacles arranged parallel or substantially parallel with each other, the receptacles being partially or totally arranged beside each other or above each other, each receptacle intended to receive a certain number of sheets arranged in packets and each having to form part of one of the bundles to be assembled; as many members each intended to drive the upper sheet of one of the packets situated in the receptacle; and a collecting member for the sheets which have partially left their receptacle, owing to the action of the said drive members; the drive members being divided in to at least two groups, all the members of a same group being set in motion simultaneously and subjected to reciprocatory motion by an appropriate control member.

The removed individual intermediate layers (5) are moved into a detection range of a sensor system (13) of its own and the particular own sensor system (13) identifying, preferably by means of optical detection, an outer edge (6) of the particular intermediate layer (5). Subsequently, the removed individual intermediate layers (5) move toward a particular target location (Z1, Z2), the particular, preferably optical detection thereby being taken into account, such that the intermediate layers (5) reach their particular target location (Z1, Z2) in a predetermined position.

摘要： Method and apparatus for transporting a lead frame which can be shared for directly-stacked lead frames and for frames--which are stacked while inter leaves are sandwiched, respectively, between them--and which allows two lead frames sticking to each other to be efficiently recovered without deactivating the lead frame transport apparatus. An apparatus for transporting a lead frame to a transport path from a stack of lead frames stored in a magazine through use of a transport head are provided with a recovery head, two-sheet pick-up sensors, and a recovery section for recovering an inter leaf which doubles as a recovery section for recovering two lead frames sticking to each other. In a case where the lead frames are stacked while the inter leaves are sandwiched, respectively, between them, the recovery head transports the inter leaf to the recovery section, where the inter leaf is recovered. In contrast, in a case where the lead frames are directly stacked, if a transport head erroneously picks up two lead frames, the two-sheet pick-up sensors detect the picking up of two lead frames. The two lead frames are temporarily returned to the magazine and are transported by means of the recovery head to the recovery section, where they are recovered.

摘要： In a high speed two up electronic printing system in which dual page images are concurrently printed side by side onto image substrate material and outputted as two parallel individual sheets paired laterally transverse the printing path direction, to increase printing throughput, a sheet output lateral sheet merging and stacking system laterally overlaps the two printed output sheets on top of one another in sheet pairs, and consecutively stacks the sheet pairs on top of one another, to provide a collated output, preferably using a compact a disk stacking system which laterally shifts and superposes the printed paired sheets on top of one another while both sheets of the pair are being arcuately supported and rotated for inversion. Also disclosed is a paired cut sheet input feeding and outside edge sheet registration and spacing system and an interrupted line printing system therefor.

摘要： In a collating machine having paper bins with papers therein to be collated, paper ejection arms simultaneously moving the uppermost sheet in each bin with an ejection stroke, and a system collecting the upper-most moved sheets; a feed head on each ejection arm having a mounting bracket, rollers mounted on a shaft journalled in the bracket to roll on papers in a bin, and rachet means preventing rotation of the rollers during the ejection stroke of each arm. The shaft of each feed head is journalled in elongated slots so that withdrawal of an uppermost sheet moves the shaft in the slots to cause electrical contacts to indicate a sheet from each bin has been collated. The rachet means may be a rachet wheel mounted on each shaft and a pawl mounted on each bracket and the electrical contacts may be the rachet wheel and pawl which break contact as each uppermost sheet of a bin is withdrawn by the collection system.
