    摘要: A machine for processing hollow glass objects (8) is described. The machine includes a sequence of like processing units (1) to (15) and (A, B) on which a small number of processing steps can be carried out on the workpiece (8). The workpieces (8) are brought to the processing unit on a clock-driven loading belt (4) and taken therefrom. A workpiece, which is being processed in a unit, is held during the entire sequence by one and the same workpiece holder. Each processing unit includes two separate handling units with which two workpieces run through the workstations time displaced. The machine arrangement permits processing units to be taken out or switched into the line without a production standstill.

    摘要: The problem of unevenness of bottle temperatures at the entry of slow annealing furnace due to the variation of time periods necessary for respective bottles discharged from an IS bottle manufacturing machine to reach the annealing furnace has been solved by an equalization of the time periods. For this purpose, the bottle discharging order from the IS bottle manufacturing machine is controlled and use is made of two conveyors having different running speeds and/or direction of running. As a result, a precise temperature control in the Hot-End-Coating apparatus provided upstream from the annealing furnace can be carried out owing to the equalized temperatures of bottles entering into the annealing furnace.

    摘要: Apparatus for automatically removing stuck and down ware from an automatic glassware ware forming machine conveyor produces a first signal for each item of normal ware, stuck ware and down ware which is conveyed past an inspection location. Each of the first signals has a duration corresponding to the time required for passage of the corresponding item past the inspection location. The apparatus also produces a second signal simultaneously with the production of each of the first signals, the second signals having a predetermined duration corresponding to the time required for a normal upright and spaced item of ware to be conveyed past the inspection location. The generation of a reject signal during the duration of each of the second signals is inhibited and a reject signal is generated if a first signal is present after the termination of the corresponding second signal, which actuates a signal responsive automatic ware removal mechanism.

    摘要: Glass containers are transferred from the dead plates of a forming machine of the I.S. type to an adjacent machine conveyor by 90.degree. sweepouts, each of which is powered by an a.c. servo motor. The machine conveyor, which is also powered by an a.c. servo motor, conveys containers to a cross-conveyor, which extends perpendicularly to the machine conveyor and conveys the containers to positions adjacent the inlet of an annealing lehr. The transfer of containers from the machine conveyor to the cross-conveyor is effected by a chain transfer device, and the cross-conveyor and the chain transfer device are each powered by an a.c. servo motor. Groups of containers are transferred in unison from the cross-conveyor to a moving conveyor of the annealing lehr by the reciprocating pusher bar of a lehr loader, and the operation of the lehr loader pusher bar which reciprocates along three (3) axes, powered by three (3) a.c. servo motors. The operation of each of the a.c. servo motors for the 90.degree. sweepouts, the machine conveyor, the cross-conveyor, chain transfer device and the lehr loader pusher bar, and the operation of the annealing lehr, which is powered by an a.c. motor, conveyor is simultaneously measured and controlled to process containers at all times from the forming machine dead plates to the annealing lehr conveyor at predetermined controlled rates.
