摘要: Present invention relates to a process for reducing the MOSH and/or MOAH content from vegetable oil selected from the group consisting of palm-based oil, cocoa butter-based oil and any mixtures thereof, and comprising steps of: a) subjecting the vegetable oil to a short-path evaporation, wherein the short-path evaporation is performed at a pressure of below 1 mbar, at an evaporation temperature in a range of from 235 and 290° C., and with a feed rate per unit area of evaporator surface of the shorth-path evaporation equipment in a range of from 35 to 102 kg/h·m2, and thus obtaining a retentate vegetable oil and a distillate, b) Contacting the retentate vegetable oil with an adsorbent, and c) Subjecting the bleached retentate vegetable oil to a further refining step.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of efficiently separating solid fat from polyunsaturated fatty acid grease. The method comprises adding a certain amount of inert material to the polyunsaturated fatty acid grease, and cooling crystallization, and then filtering through a filter to obtain clarified polyunsaturated fatty acid grease. Afterwards introducing hot gas through the filter to make solid fat adsorbed on a filter cake in the filter dissolved and then recycling it through a filter plate. Inert solid substances can be applied next time. The method of the present invention can be efficiently separated saturated and low-saturated fatty acids from polyunsaturated fatty acid grease. In the process, the winterization crystallization time is short, the crystallization is complete, the crystal separation is easy. It will not cause some solid fat melted and thus re-enter the filtrate due to long separation and blowing dry in conventional process. The yield of final product is high up to 89.8%-97.8%. After winterization, a lipid clarity of the polyunsaturated fatty acid grease is good, and no crystal precipitation would occur at 0° C. for 5 hrs.

摘要: In an aspect, a method is disclosed that includes contacting a composition with an aqueous solution to yield a mixture, where the composition includes one or more of animal fats, animal oils, plant fats, plant oils, vegetable fats, vegetable oils, greases, and used cooking oil, about 5 wt. % or more of free fatty acids, about 10 wppm or more of total metals, about 8 wppm or more phosphorus, about 20 wppm or more of nitrogen, and the aqueous solution includes ((NH4)2H2EDTA, (NH4)4EDTA, a monoammonium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a diammonium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a triammonium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a tetraammonium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, (NH4)5DTPA, a combination of citric acid and Na4EDTA, a combination of citric acid and Na2H2EDTA, a combination of citric acid and a monosodium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a combination of citric acid and a disodium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a combination of citric acid and a trisodium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a combination of citric acid and a tetrasodium salt of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, a combination of citric acid and Na5DTPA, or a combination of any two or more thereof, where the method further includes centrifuging the mixture to yield a first treated composition, wherein the first treated composition has less total metals and less phosphorus than the composition.

摘要: The present technology provides a method that includes contacting a composition with a caustic solution to produce a caustic-treated composition; combining the caustic-treated composition with silica particles to produce a slurry; and removing the silica particles from the slurry to produce a treated composition; wherein the composition includes one or more of animal fats, animal oils, plant fats, plant oils, vegetable fats, vegetable oils, greases, and used cooking oil and the composition includes: at least about 10 wppm of total metals, at least about 8 wppm of phosphorus, at least about 10 wppm of chlorine, at least about 10 wppm of sulfur, at least about 20 wppm of nitrogen, at least about 5 wt. % of free fatty acids; and has an acid number from about 10 mg KOH/g to about 150 mg KOH/g, and the silica particles has a particle size from about 10 microns to about 50 microns, a BET surface area from about 200 m2/g to about 1000 m2/g.

摘要: The present invention relates to a fixed bed decolorization process for an polyunsaturated fatty acid, comprising a polyunsaturated fatty acid or a polyunsaturated fatty acid solution is either passed directly through a filler of the fixed bed or recycled in a filler of the fixed bed, a colorless or light-colored polyunsaturated fatty acid product is ultimately produced, at the same time, other than the color, other qualities of the polyunsaturated fatty acid remain unaffected. The decolorization process allows continuous operation or intermittent operation. The filler of the fixed bed comprises one or a mixture of activated carbon, diatomite, carclazyte, silicone and an ion-exchange resin. An upper or a middle or a bottom or a combination thereof is employed to feed a polyunsaturated fatty acid feedstock or a polyunsaturated fatty acid solution. The filler in the fixed bed can be used repeatedly. The filler can be reused after being washed when decolorization effects thereof become deteriorated or ineffective.
