摘要: The attenuated vaccinia virus strain KVAC103 was obtained by subculturing a vaccinia virus strain 103 times in VERO cells. The attenuated vaccinia virus strain KVAC103 has significantly low toxicity, shows reduced skin lesions, and, at the same time, induces effectively immune responses to poxvirus. Thus, it can be used as a poxvirus vaccine while causing less side effects.

摘要: The present invention discloses an attenuated smallpox vaccine strain exhibiting antibody production similar to conventional strains but without postvaccinal side effects. The vaccine is prepared by attenuating a Lister strain of a vaccinia virus by cell culture and selecting a suitable strain therefrom showing relatively small and uniform pocks on the chorioallantoic membrane of an embryonated egg.

摘要: This invention provides recombinant, replication-competent Rhabdovirus vaccine strain-based expression vectors for expressing heterologous viral antigenic polypeptides such as immunodeficiency virus envelope proteins or subparts thereof. An additional transcription stop/start unit within the Rhabdovirus genome is inserted to express the heterologous antigenic polypeptides. The HIV-1 gp160 protein is stably and functionally expressed, as indicated by fusion of human T cell-lines after infection with the recombinant RVs. Inoculation of mice with the recombinant Rabies viruses expressing HIV-1 gp160 induces a strong humoral response directed against the HIV-1 envelope protein after a single boost with an isolated recombinant HIV-1 gp120 protein. Moreover, high neutralization titers, up to 1:800, against HIV-1 are detected in the mouse sera. These recombinant viral vectors expressing viral antigenic polypeptides provide useful and effective pharmaceutical compositions for the generation of viral-specific immune responses.

摘要: Disclosed herein is the attenuated vaccinia virus strain KVAC103 obtained by subculturing a vaccinia virus strain 103 times in VERO cells. The attenuated vaccinia virus strain KVAC103 has significantly low toxicity, shows reduced skin lesions, and, at the same time, induces effectively immune responses to poxvirus. 摘要: A human epithelial heterploid liver cell line, such as line WRL 68 which forms individually separated islands or discrete clumps when cultured in a growth medium, has a morphology closely resembling that of hepatocytes of the human liver and a generation time not more than 24 hours, manifests increased production of glycogen in the presence of 1% glucose in the medium, and is capable of supporting viruses.Such cells may be advantageously used to provide cell cultures for supporting viruses for the preparation of viral vaccines.
