    摘要： A two-for-one twisting machine is provided and includes a spindle having a yarn brake. The yarn brake includes a brake housing, a brake cartridge having opposed ends, first and second brake rings disposed within the brake housing, and a support element. The yarn brake also includes a guide conduit extending generally co-axially within the brake housing supporting the support element at a selectively variable axial location within the brake housing and a yarn intake tube extending within the guide conduit. A spring extends between the support element and the second brake ring for resiliently biasing the second brake ring and the brake cartridge is releasably compressively engaged by the first brake ring pressing against one end of the brake cartridge and the second brake ring pressing against the opposite end thereof.

    摘要： The yarn brake of this invention is useful in a textile yarn processing machine, such as a two-for-one twister, and includes a stationary permanent magnet arranged at one end of a brake housing and spaced from a fixed braking surface in the direction of movement of the yarn. A braking body is movably positioned within the housing between the braking surface and the permanent magnet, with the braking body including a permanent magnet having a magnetic polarization oriented in repelling relation to the stationary permanent magnet for thus biasing the braking body toward and into engagement with the braking surface to apply tension to a yarn passing therebetween. The magnetic repelling forces allow the braking body to be reliably moved out of engagement with the braking surface when necessary, as for example by a pneumatic flow applied to thread a yarn through the brake, or to accommodate knots or other variations in thickness in the yarn.

    摘要： In a multiple twister provided with at least a first twisting mechanism and a second twisting mechanism successively arranged, when a yarn supplied from a yarn package held in said multiple twister contacts component elements of the twister, there is a tendency of creating fuzzy fibers projecting from the main body of the yarn. Such fuzzy fibers are laid down against the main body of the supplied yarn by contacting a contacting member disposed at an upstream terminal of a first twisting yarn passage formed in the first twisting mechanism and/or stroked against the main body of the first twisted yarn by contacting a friction surface particularly formed in a yarn guide disposed at a downstream terminal of a second twisting yarn passage formed in the second twisting mechanism so that the laid down fuzzy fibers are twisted into the main body of the yarn.

    摘要： A thread-twisting apparatus has a hollow stem through which the threads to be twisted together are drawn axially. A pair of axially spaced thread brakes are provided in the stem, and a hub carrying a thread guide is rotationally mounted on the stem. This guide is a bent wire having a C-shaped central portion embracing the hub and formed with an inwardly directed finger engaging in a radially open hole in the hub for rotational coupling of the hub and guide. A rotation brake acts on the hub and the adjustment for this brake and for one of the thread brakes can be carried out in a single operation whereby both braking effects are either increased or decreased simultaneously.
