Abstract:
A washing machine having a washed laundry/garment treatment system. The washing machine comprises a rotatable drum, a soap/laundry dispenser, a water supply flow valve, an ozone generator and a control panel for controlling operation of the rotatable drum, the soap/laundry dispenser, the water supply flow valve, and the ozone generator. The laundry/garment treatment system comprises a source of an additive/treating composition to be added a washing machine without any laundry/garments contained therein, and the source of the additive/treating composition is connected to the washing machine to supply a quantity of additive/treating composition thereto for mixing with water and formation of a treatment mixture. A circulating pump is connected to the washing machine for pumping the treatment mixture into a treatment holding tank. A mixture feed valve controls the flow of treatment mixture from the treatment holding tank back into the washing machine for treating the laundry/garments, following washing thereof.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine for washing laundry. The washing machine according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes an integrated tub/drum that provides a washing space in which laundry and water are accommodated together. The integrated tub/drum includes a drum side, a first end panel connected to one side of the drum side, and a second end panel connected to the other side of the drum side. A drive shaft is connected to the first end panel, and a flow path shaft is connected to the second end panel, and as a result, both the ends of the integrated tub/drum are rotatably and stably supported.
Abstract:
A front-loading washing machine and a control method therefor are disclosed. The control method includes: when a sensed amount of laundry in a drum is equal to or less than a preset amount, rubbing step at which the drum is rotated in both directions, wherein the rubbing step comprises: a first rotation step at which the drum is rotated in a first direction by a preset one-direction rotational angle; and a second rotation step at which the drum is rotated by the one-direction rotational angle in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and wherein the first rotation step and the second rotation step are performed alternately and repeatedly. Accordingly, it is possible to perform a washing motion which improves washing performance and reduces wear and tear of the laundry.
Abstract:
A method for redistributing a laundry load in a drum of a washing machine in order to reduce the unbalance generated to the nonuniform distribution of said laundry load in said drum. The method comprises: generating a sinusoidal motor speed profile (RS(t)), controlling the electric motor based on the sinusoidal motor speed profile (RS(t)), estimating unbalance value indicative of the unbalance of load in the laundry drum, estimating an inertia value indicative of the inertia of the load in the laundry drum, varying the amplitude of the sinusoidal speed profile (RS(t)) based on estimated unbalance value and inertia value, and controlling said electric motor based on modified sinusoidal motor speed profile.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine. The washing machine may include an integrated tub/drum that includes a drum main body that has a cylindrical shape or a truncated conical shape, stores water, holds or accommodates laundry and water, and rotates, and a plurality of hollow lifters that extend or protrude outward from a circumferential surface of the drum main body, and extend or protrude inward from the circumferential surface of the drum main body; a hollow rotary shaft that is coupled to and/or that penetrates one end and/or surface of the drum main body; and a drain pipe that is in the integrated tub/drum through the hollow rotary shaft, configured to discharge water from the drum main body and that may be collected by the lifter.
Abstract:
A washing machine includes a housing and a washing/drying drum received in the housing. A pivotal mechanism is mounted to each of two flanks of the washing/drying drum. Each pivotal mechanism includes a support having an axle. The axles define a pivotal axis passing through a diameter of the washing/drying drum. Each pivotal mechanism further includes a rotating device rotatable about the pivotal axis defined by the axles. The washing/drying drum is coupled to the rotating devices. The washing/drying drum is pivotable between a horizontal position and a vertical position. One of the pivotal mechanisms includes a positioning mechanism configured to position the washing/drying drum in the horizontal position or the vertical position.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine that includes: an integrated tub/drum that simultaneously stores washing water, accommodates laundry, and rotates; a hollow rotary shaft coupled to penetrate one surface of the integrated tub/drum; one or more water pipes in the integrated tub/drum through a hollow space in the hollow rotary shaft; and a supporting frame that supports the hollow rotary shaft so that the hollow rotary shaft is rotatable.
Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet including a first front panel arranged on a front side and a second front panel arranged on the first front panel and operated by a user, a tub disposed inside the cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub to provide a space to store laundry, and a panel cover arranged on a front side of the second front panel to protect the second front panel. The panel cover includes a water penetration prevention rib formed on a top surface thereof to prevent water from penetrating into the control part from an outside.
