Abstract:
A powdered carpet composition comprising a blend of an inorganic salt carrier, an agglomerating agent such as starch and fragrance, said composition being in proper form for ready application to the carpet and serving to provide deodorizing and/or freshening effects thereto.
Abstract:
An improved method for the removal of stains from textiles is disclosed. The method involves the use of novel mixtures of zeolites and imides. The method of the invention provides superior performance in the removal of stains, especially those from animal wastes or fluids. The zeolite/imide mixtures are useful to remove stains from various textile fabrics and fibers, e.g. carpets, clothing, and upholstered goods.
Abstract:
A herbal dry cleansing powder composition comprising about 6-12% by weight of Cocoa nucifera, about 6-12% by weight of Hibiscus Rosa sinesis, about 6-12% by weight of Sapindus trifoliatus, about 6-12% by weight of Trigonella foenum graeceum, about 4-9% by weight of Melia azadirachta and about 43-72% by weight of a preservative. To prepare the composition the constituents are cleaned, dried and crushed to a mesh size of 150-350 sieve size.
Abstract:
A liquid detergent and spot remover composition for cleaning carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture, a dry powder spot remover composition and an applicator kit especially designed for these compositions is provided and consists of an applicator for the liquid detergent and spot remover, a container especially adapted for mixing the dry powder spot remover and a display box having a cover that opens.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of removing contaminants from industrial process fabrics relying upon cryogenic techniques, wherein the fabric is impacted with solid particles of carbon dioxide. A cryoblaster projects the carbon dioxide particles at the fabric. The cryoblaster scans over the entirety of the fabric at a scanning rate particle velocity, and particle flow rate in order to insure that the fabric is cleaned without suffering any damage.
Abstract:
A method for cleaning soiled fabric articles is provided which comprises tumbling the soiled articles in a rotary clothes dryer at an elevated temperature, in a closed system, such as a sealed plastic bag, wherein said system also includes a fabric-cleaning article comprising a porous substrate sheet impregnated with a gelled liquid cleaning composition.
Abstract:
A machine washing process with process-controlled dosing of water and detergent using a paste-form, phosphate-reduced or phosphate-free detergent which is substantially free from water, organic solvents and hydrotropic compounds. The paste comprises a phase liquid at a temperature below 10.degree. C. and contains a nonionic surfactant selected from the group of polyglycolether compounds and of a solid phase dispersed therein in which the particles have a mean particle size of from 5 to 40 .mu.m and less than 5% of the particles have a particle size larger than 80 .mu.m, the solid phase comprising washing alkalis, sequestering compounds and other detergent constituents and, optionally, anionic surfactants. Under the control of a process-control computer, the paste is taken from a storage container, delivered to a mixer and diluted therein with water to at least such an extent that the formation of a gel phase is avoided. The aqueous mixture is fed to a washing machine and, unless this has already happened in the mixer, is diluted with more water to a concentration of 0.5 to 10 g/l, after which the washing process is started.
Abstract:
Powder-form compositions containing as its principal components cellulose powder, organic solvents, and water. The compositions are suitable for cleaning textiles, particularly carpets, and are distinguished by high cleaning power and minimal dust generation.
