摘要: A gravity-feed spreader for particulate matter may include a rotor. The spreader may be operable for gravity-feed operation with the longitudinal axis of the rotor in a horizontal position. A generally cylindrical rotor housing with a pair of closed, axial ends may be coaxial with the rotor. Entrance and exit apertures for the particulate matter may be formed in the surface of the rotor housing between the closed, axial ends. A rotor driver may be coupled to the rotor shaft for rotating the rotor. An intake housing may include a passageway therethrough for the particulate matter. A gate may be provided for selectively opening and closing the particulate matter passageway in the intake housing. An agitator may be coupled to the rotor shaft for facilitating movement of particulate matter through the passageway in the intake housing.

摘要: A device for spreading particulate material in an elongated path at a precise predetermined height. The device comprises a front panel extending vertically from an upper opening and then extending horizontally terminating at the forward edge of a lower opening. A rear panel extends vertically from the upper opening and terminates at a lower edge located at an elevation above the lower edge of the front panel. Side panels extend vertically and are coupled to the front and rear panels. The side panels have inwardly extending shoes with lower surfaces parallel with the lower edge of the horizontal portion of the front panel. An L-shaped bar is adjustably positioned adjacent to the lower edge of the rear panel for varying the height of the particulate material to be dispensed. The L-shaped bar has a vertical portion adjustably coupled with respect to the rear panel and a horizontal portion extending rearwardly from the rear panel with the lower surface thereof determining the height of the particulate material to be spread. Attachments couple the device to a truck for pulling the device simultaneously with the dispensing of particulate material into the upper opening and from the lower opening.

摘要: A dispenser which fits between the box of a dump truck and its partially open tailgate includes a semicylindrical trough having an axially elongated slot in the bottom, an arcuate relatively narrow cover adjacent to and outside of the trough, end plates on the trough, end hangers supporting the cover and pivotally mounted on axles in the end plates, and a handle on one of the end hangers to rotate the cover to open and close the slot. A notched detent bar on an end plate holds the handle in selected positions. Clamps hold the structure to the tailgate and latch bars cooperate with latch hooks on the truck to hold the dispenser in place. A cage hooks on the tailgate to support an operator. Interior hook eyes are provided to lift the dispenser into attachment position on the truck.

The system has an aggregate application assembly and a resin application assembly that are mounted or otherwise secured to a truck or other vehicle. The resin application assembly is spaced from the aggregate application assembly in the direction of travel of the vehicle. As the vehicle moves along a roadway surface, the resin and aggregate can be continuously applied such that the aggregate is provided to portions of the roadway surface that have been covered with resin.
