摘要: Disclosed herein is a telescoping substructure of a drilling rig that includes first and second telescoping substructure boxes. The first and second telescoping substructure boxes each include, among other things, a lower substructure box and an upper substructure box that is adapted to be telescopically raised and lowered relative to the lower substructure box. Furthermore, each telescoping substructure box also includes raising means for telescopically raising and lowering the upper substructure box relative to the lower substructure box between a collapsed configuration for transportation and a raised configuration for drilling operations, wherein each of the first and second telescoping substructure boxes are adapted to facilitate movement of the telescoping substructure in at least one of a lateral direction and a longitudinal direction over wellhead equipment positioned above a wellbore location when the upper substructure boxes are in the raised configuration.

摘要: A method of constructing a shell-formed structure including the steps of first constructing a base, such as concrete slab, having a retention means defining the area of contact of the finished wall of the building with the base, the retention may be in the form of a recessed notch formed in the concrete pad, supporting a top yoke centrally above the base, positioning a plurality of spaced apart flexible slats between the base retention means and the yoke, lowering the yoke to cause the flexible slats to bow uniformly in a generally quarter circular or quarter elliptical configuration so that the bow slats generally define the exterior wall shape of the building, attaching a covering to the bowed slats, applying a layer of settable material, such as concrete, to the covering and allowing the settable material to harden to thereby form the structure.

摘要: A method includes assembling a telescoping substructure box having first and second substructure boxes in a collapsed configuration by nesting at least a portion of the first substructure box inside of a substantially open interior space defined by a plurality of structural elements that comprise the second substructure box. The assembled telescoping substructure box is transported to a drilling site and telescopically raised from the collapsed transportation configuration to a raised operating configuration for performing drilling operations on a wellbore location of the drilling site by telescopically raising one of the first and second substructure boxes relative to the other one of the first and second substructure boxes. A drilling mast is coupled to and raised above the telescoping substructure box, and drilling operations are performed on the wellbore location with the raised drilling mast.

摘要: Improved foldable buildings include an improved rafter plate with a fifth hole that can be used for lifting and as a safety anchor and also has angled corners to abut rafter plate stops newly installed on rafters. Rafters and columns have improved bracket plates, new cross brace flanges, and adaptations for L-shaped brackets that support new steel stud purlins and girts. Wall and roof panels now have a vapor barrier and improved insulation. Rafters are further improved by addition of lifting sleeves. Flashing is pre-cut to custom sizes to avoid cutting at the job site and now features steel gauge flashing with adhered closed cell foam rubber on the interior surface. For long ridge flashing, flashing pieces have interlocking ends. Improved methods of assembly are described.

摘要: The invention provides a kit of structural building elements for rapid erection and assembly to form a living space having a ridged roof, wherein the elements (1, 2) are linked together and comprise a central prism-like element (1) and corresponding outer elements (2), said elements being arranged so that in a first state, suitable for transportation, they form an essentially cuboid structure having overall dimensions not equivalent to those of a standard 40 foot freight container and, in a end, erected state, the outer parts are raised to form a roof ridge line (3). Erection of a prefabricated building using the kit of parts can be effected without the need for heavy lifting machinery by pushing the outer elements (2) inwardly so that they slide up the sloping faces of the prism like central part.

摘要: A building having an equal number of exterior wall and roof sections is constructed of prefabricated building units each having a roof section and wall frame section pivotably affixed for relative pivotal movement. The building units are erected in pairs on a foundation assembly by a temporary central column thereat at the upper end of which is temporarily affixed a roof section bracket and is a cable-operated hoisting assembly located above the bracket. Each pair of units is oriented on the foundation on opposite sides of the central column in a folded condition with the roof sections superimposed over the wall section frames and with the inner ends of the roof sections adjacent the column, and the inner ends of the roof sections of the pair of units are then engaged and lifted by the hoisting assembly to an elevated position at the bracket from which the roof sections incline downwardly while the wall section frames are moved outwardly from the central column. The roof sections are then fixed to the bracket, and the wall section frames are fixed to the foundation. Following the erection and affixation in place of each pair of building units, the central column is detached from the bracket and is removed, and the building is finished as desired.
