摘要： The invention relates to a modular HD (Heavy Duty) support system (1) having a strongly increased resistance to breaking strain and strain of flexure for the support of very huge and heavy shuttering for use in modern building. This module comprises vertical upright assembly systems (2) consisting of upright elements (2′) with connecting members (3) and intermediate frames (5). The bottom part and/or top part of each upright assembly (2) is provided with a spindle assembly (4), which is capable of carrying a high load and with adjustable butterfly nuts (20) and coupling pieces (21). In upward direction the upright assembly systems (2) are extended by means of connecting pieces (3) provided with locking pins (8a, 8b) for obtaining a connection which is resistant to tensile strain. In lateral direction the upright assembly systems (2) are intercoupled by means of a coupling assembly comprising a screw member (46) and claws (47, 48) positioned on intermediate frames (5) and also C-shaped coupling members positioned on upright elements (2′), but also on a coupling piece (21) of a spindle assembly (4) for reducing the flexing length thereof. The module (1) is transportable as a whole in assembled position and even in height adjustable under load. The module (1) may be in height and also in width and in length be extended moreover by practically an unlimited number of upright assembly systems (2) and intermediate frames (5).

摘要： A spring loaded, adjustable caster is disclosed which is used in combination with a rolling ladder. The adjustable caster comprises a wheel, a wheel mount for mounting the wheel, a longitudinal adjustable shank including a connecting rod having a threaded bore and a threaded shaft disposed in screwthreaded engagement with each other, whereby the length of the longitudinal adjustable shank may be varied. A jam nut is disposed in threadingly fitted engagement on the threaded shaft intermediate to the connecting rod and the wheel mount, whereby the jam nut may be rotated into a biasing relationship to the connecting rod. The caster further includes a sleeve adapted for sliding support of the connecting rod and with a spring disposed within the sleeve to provide a compressed relationship between the sleeve and the connecting rod. The sleeve is then mounted on a rolling ladder. Also, disclosed is a rolling ladder including a rectangular base with an adjustable caster disposed in each of the corners thereof, and a ladder leg disposed adjacent to each of the adjustable casters. Each of the ladder legs are in pre-determined spaced-apart relationship. When the ladder is empty, the casters engage the floor. When the ladder is loaded, the weight of the load compresses the caster and the legs then engage the floor. Each individual caster can be adjusted to provide for uniform engagement of the floor when the ladder is loaded and uniform clearance from the floor when not stood upon.

The nut has a lever arm and is tiltable to disengage its screw threads from the screw threads of the leg member to provide for coarse adjustment of the leg length. The tubular scaffold member normally seats in a recess in the nut to prevent tilting of the nut.

摘要： The tower assembly is comprised of vertically stacked tower sections each of which includes a pair of primary frame structures having end posts and interconnected by frame units in a variable spaced parallel relation so that the end posts constitute corner posts for the tower assembly. A pair of secondary frame structures corresponding to the primary frame structures may be connected to the frame units in a parallel relation adjacent a corresponding primary frame structure, or only one of such secondary frame structures can be so assembled relative to its corresponding primary frame structure. Additionally, the primary and secondary frame structures can be relatively extended upwardly of the tower assembly to support separate loads at varying levels.
