摘要： A spa cover and receptacle in combination, the spa cover being a retractable, folding, insulating spa cover with interconnected, plural, elongated, generally rectangular, panel members, the panel members being connected to each other along their longitudinal edges or sides by hinge members that act as seals to close the entire gap between adjoining panel members, wherein the hinge members alternate between the upper and lower surfaces of adjacent panel members, such that the panel members are easily foldable into a vertical stack. The open-topped receptacle is provided with roller members to reduce friction when the panel members are delivered into the panel members in a vertical stack adjacent the spa, the receptacle being a free-standing member, a member mounted to the spa wall, or a member manufactured as an integral component of the spa housing.

摘要： A thermally insulative buoyant swimming pool cover floats on the surface of the pool for covering the pool and for retaining the heat within the pool. Sinking means, such as weights or a mechanical pull-down structure, may be secured to the pool cover along certain predetermined action lines such as fold lines. In one embodiment, an inflatable and deflatable bladder is coupled to the weights. The bladder is dimensioned relative to the weights such that when inflated it overcomes the negative buoyancy of the weights to retain the pool cover in the fully covered position. However, when the bladder is deflated, the weights ovecome the positive buoyancy of the cover along the certain fold lines causing the cover to be at least partially pulled below the surface of the pool and folded while at the same time being retracted against one of the side walls of the pool. Pool water is circulated over or through channels of the pool cover to provide solar heating. Pool water is circulated over the top of the cover for cleaning thereof. The weights, in one embodiment, are hollow to receive the inflatable bladders. Air permeable structures are contained within the bladders to obtain more uniform inflation thereof. The lip of the cover contains additional positive buoyancy for additional support at the lip. In an alternative embodiment, air and water are fed into a container or conduit portion of the cover, the ratio by volume of air to water is changed for switching the cover between a pool covering and a pool uncovering state. Air is injected via a venturi into the pool return line which is connected to the cover. The air and water mixture is fed through solar heating channels of the cover for solar heating of the pool water.

摘要： A plurality of adjustable hangers for storing an aboveground pool cover in an elevated position and in close proximity to an associated pool comprised of a generally U-shaped hanger portion for receipt of the pool cover, a lateral support for engaging the sidewall of the aboveground pool and a hook portion for removable attachment to the sidewall and rail or the above ground pool. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, portions of the hanger are adjustable in size to accommodate a wide variety of aboveground pools. By storing the pool cover in an elevated position, the pool cover is not as susceptible to damage and/or damaging the surfaces upon which it would be otherwise stored, and is far less likely to transfer dirt, leaves, grass clippings, insects and other undesirable elements into the pool water when the pool cover is reinstalled on the surface of the pool.

摘要： A foldable swimming pool cover includes, in one embodiment, a screen constructed of an ultra-fine, lightweight mesh fabric and a plastic frame mounted on the periphery of the screen. The plastic frame includes a plurality of frame members, each of the frame members having a pair of free ends. The free ends of adjacent frame members are pivotally connected by a bi-directional hinge assembly which enables the swimming pool cover to be collapsed into a vertical stack of individual panels in an accordion fashion. In use, the swimming pool cover is designed to be placed over a swimming pool to prevent environmental debris from falling into and contaminating the water held within the swimming pool. Because the screen is constructed of a mesh fabric, moisture will pass through the screen and environmental debris will accumulate on the screen. In order to use the swimming pool, the swimming pool cover can be folded into a vertical stack of individual panels and lifted off the pool.

摘要： A foldable cover of simple structure and light weight is provided. The cover consists of multiple cover sections which are connected by hinges so that they may be folded together. Each of the cover sections has a hole in its surface through which a cable extends, such that when the cable is pulled, the cover sections are folded together at one side of the opening. The cable is initially pulled from a height above the cover sections so that the first pair of cover sections are caused to buckle upwards and then fold together. Further pulling on the cable causes the remaining pairs of cover sections to buckle and fold one pair at a time. When the cover is being extended, a tension is maintained on the pulling cable so as to control the falling speed of the cover sections as they unfold. Hinges and wheels that are used on the cover and around the holes exhibit a low rotational friction, so that the cover may be opened and closed easily. A hand truck with a winch is used to pull the retracting cable so that the cover is folded on to the hand truck, whereby the cover can easily be moved to different locations. Cover sections of different sizes and shapes are used to make the cover as a whole a particular shape.
