    摘要: The present invention relates to a multi-functional drilling experiment platform, which consists of a gantry, a hydraulic cylinder, a power swivel and a platform base. The gantry mainly realizes the control of the drill string during the drilling-in process. In order to simulate the vertical well, the inclined well, and the horizontal well, the drilling machine needs to rotate between 0° and 90°. The rotation of the gantry is realized by the extension and contraction of the hydraulic cylinder. The platform base is used to set up the gantry and the hydraulic cylinder, bearing the pulling, pressing and twisting loads of drilling experiments. Also, the platform base can move along the track to achieve different types of experiments. The multi-functional drilling experiment platform of the present invention realizes the load simulation experiment of the drilling machine at different angles using the gantry and the hydraulic cylinder.

    摘要: A linear actuator having a power rod supported by movable supports is disclosed. The movable supports can provide support to the power rod to avoid buckling of the power rod under large compressive forces. The movable supports are designed to move towards (e.g., by a biasing mechanism) a first position that minimizes the unsupported length of the power rod, but are capable of being displaced by the power rod during extension of the power rod. Examples of movable supports include slidable bearings (e.g., axially slidable) or rotating braces (e.g., rotatable form a supporting position to an out-of-the-way position). Examples of suitable biasing mechanisms include springs and spring members. In some embodiments, hydraulic force is used to move the movable supports.

    摘要: A subsea riser disconnect assembly 10 may be actuated from a drilling rig DR by axial movement of an upper riser 35 relative to a lower riser 28, for disconnecting the upper riser 35 from the lower riser 28. A drill pipe disconnect 30 may be actuated from a drilling rig DR, either onshore or offshore, for disconnecting an upper portion of drill pipe 236 from a lower portion of drill pipe 240. The drill pipe disconnect 30 may be actuatable by hydraulic and/or mechanical forces applied to the drill pipe disconnect 30 from the drilling rig DR. The drill pipe disconnect 30 may be compatible for use with or without the subsea riser disconnect assembly 10 and/or the subsea riser valve assembly 20. The component assemblies of this invention may improve the efficiency and lower the cost of recovering hydrocarbons by reducing drilling costs and time requirements. Also, the ability to relatively quickly disconnect a floating rig from a well may enhance the safety of persons and equipment facing hostile weather conditions or other emergency situations.
