    摘要: The invention relates to a machine for digging underground galleries. This machine comprises a framework displaceable in the gallery, at least a pair of homologous arms connected to this framework and adapted for swinging movements respectively about two substantially parallel axis, a toolholder on each arm and cutting tools on each toolholder, adapted to cut through a cutting face of the gallery. In this machine, each arm and the position of the latter of its toolholder are adapted for a swinging movement of this arm greater than 90* from a position in which the said arm is directed towards a lateral wall of the gallery, as far as a position in which the arm is directed towards the other lateral wall, while passing through a position in which the arm is parallel to the gallery''s axial plane, the cutting tools passing continuously along the cutting face of the gallery.

    摘要: A tunnelling machine has a swing unit (31) that is swingable about a horizontal axis (I). The swing unit has a head (50) that rotates about an axis (II) that is transverse to said horizontal axis and passes the horizontal at a distance below the horizontal axis. The head is equipped with a plurality of disc-cutters (53-58, 63) that are arranged to have their cutting edges on an imaginary sphere with a radius of about the same length as the swing radius. Upon simultaneous upward swinging of the swing unit and rotation of the head, the cutters cut both when on the leading side of the head and when on the trailing side. No cutting occurs during the return swing stroke. When the swing unit has been returned, the machine is advanced a step which is somewhat larger than the distance between the two axes, and another upward cutting stroke can be effected.

    摘要: A tunnelling machine has a cutting unit which is mounted on a main frame to swing about a horizontal axis. The cutting unit has a rotating cutter head which cuts over the whole width of the tunnel upon the swinging of the cutting unit by means of two swing jacks. The cutting unit and the frame are braced between the sidewalls of the tunnel by means of two jacks which have their extension axes colinear with the horizontal axis of swinging. A transverse frame, slidable forwards and backwards in the main frame, can also be braced between the sidewalls by means of two colinear jacks. One of the swing jacks is mounted in the main frame and the other in the transverse frame, and the swing jacks are also used for advancing the machine in steps.
