    摘要: A modular revolving cylinder engine including at least two interdependent flywheels driven in rotation by a driving device (1) that rotates them in synchronization and in opposite directions. Each flywheel includes a plurality of equally spaced hollow pushrods that are reciprocally movable along stroke lines that are parallel and offset with respect to the central axis of rotation thereof and through which combustion gases from associated combustion chambers pass outwardly of the flywheels. End portions of the opposing pushrods engage during each rotation of the opposing flywheels during which time the oppositely directed combustion gases passing through the pushrods impinge on the outer end portion of the opposite pushrod to thereby provide thrust to drive the opposing flywheel in rotation in opposite directions.

    摘要: Rotary type fluid machine includes a casing 7, a rotor 31 and a plurality of vane-piston units U1-U12 which are disposed in a radiate arrangement on the rotor 31. Each of the vane-piston units U1-U12 has a vane 42 sliding in a rotor chamber 14 and a piston 41 placed in abutment against a non-slide side of the vane 42. When it functions as an expanding machine 4, the expansion of a high pressure gas is used to operate the pistons 41 thereby to rotate the rotor 31 via vanes 42 and the expansion of a low pressure gas caused by a pressure reduction in the high pressure gas is used to rotate the rotor 31 via the vanes 41. On the other hand, when it functions as a compressing machine, the rotation of rotor 31 is used to supply a low pressure air to the side of pistons 41 via vanes 42 and further, the pistons 41 are operated by the vanes 42 to convert the low pressure air to the high pressure air. Thus, a rotary type fluid machine having expanding and compressing functions, with the merits belonging to the piston type and the merits belonging to the vane type, can be provided.

The piston rods (17) are seated on three eccentric disks (25), likewise displaced 120.degree. with respect to one another, on the crankshaft (21). Gas exchange takes place through piston-controlled ports (51, 53) of the cylinders (13). In the gas-exchange path of the ports (51, 53) rotary slide valve control arrangements (57), which optionally control gas exchange together with the piston-controlled ports (51, 53), are provided on at least the exhaust side. Gas intake may take place through rotary slide valve controls, or through an intake channel terminating in a crankshaft chamber of the cylinder rotor (5) and connected with the intake ports by overflow channels. In an internal combustion engine, a blower driven by a variable-speed motor may be provided for control of the degree of filling of the combustion chambers (37).

    摘要: A cylinder wheel member having a plurality of cylinder cavities is in meshing engagement with a piston wheel member having a plurality of piston elements between which segment-like cavities are provided. The meshing engagement of said wheel members provides expanding and contracting working chambers in the cylinder cavities of said cylinder wheel member as well as in the segment-like cavities of said piston wheel member. A disc-like commutator valve rigidly connected to said piston wheel member has two types of through passages, the first type of which connects the working chambers in said cylinder cavities of the cylinder wheel member to fluid inlet and outlet means of a casing rotatably supporting said wheel members and the second type of which connects the working chambers both in said cylinder cavities of the cylinder wheel member and in the segment-like cavities of said piston wheel member to said inlet and outlet means for a fluid. Thus, on both sides of the piston elements projecting into the cylinder cavities impulses are generated to drive one of said wheel members connected to a driving shaft.

    摘要: In a fluid handling machine, such as a pump or motor, or a hydrostactic transmission, a presser body abuts at one end a rotor and forms at the other end outer and inner annular pressure chambers with a housing part. The outer periphery of the outer pressure chamber and the inner periphery of the inner pressure chamber are coaxial with the rotor, but slidingly engaged cylindrical face portions along the inner periphery of the outer pressure chamber and outer periphery of the inner pressure chamber have a common axis eccentric to, and parallel with the rotor axis so that the widths of the effective annular pressure faces of the outer and inner pressure chambers varies. Fluid at different pressures is located in the inner and outer pressure chambers, and pressure forces are transmitted from the pressure chambers to the rotor to press the rotor against a staionary control face of the housing.

A shaft for said block extends through a bore in a main shaft and contains longitudinal fluid inlet and exhaust passages for operating fluid which communicate at the inner ends with the radially innermost ends of cylinder bores which extend radially within said block and said bores have aligned bore sections which have progressively larger diameters outward from the inner ends thereof to provide multi-stage cylinder sections. Connecting rods connect the outer ends of pistons in said bores to the inner surface of the rim of said drum to rotate it as said cylinders communicate successively with said fluid inlet and exhaust passages.
