    摘要: Corner seal sockets (26) are formed at the end of apex seal slots (58) formed in a rotor (10). A twisted split washer spring (70) is positioned in each socket (26) between the base wall (28) of the socket (26) and the inner end of the corner seal (16). The springs (70) bias the outer end surfaces of the corner seals (16) against the inner side surfaces of the housing sidewalls (20, 22). A radial apex seal slot (32) is formed in each corner seal (16). The base (38) of each slot (32) is substantially semi cylindrical in shape. It and the cylindrical peripheral surface (44) of the corner seal (16) form an arch shaped bight that connects side portions of the corner seals (16) together. End portions of the apex seals (18) extend into the apex seal slots (32) in the corner seals (16). The end portions of the apex seal biasing spring (60) contacts spring abutments (52, 54) which project radially inwardly from the outer ends of the apex seal (18). The corner seal may have a recessed outer face surrounded by a radially narrow seal surface.

The chamber has the shape of partially overlapping circles with each circle intersecting the center of the adjacent circle. The rotors are non-eccentric and have curved sides with the same radius as the circles. In exemplary embodiments, the rotors are trochoidal and the chamber is epitrochoidal. Also provided are compressors, pumps, actuators, and engines incorporating the rotary machine.

    摘要: The sealing device comprises a central bar and two angular segments mounted end to end in a groove situated along each crest of the rotor. Each groove is formed in the rotor at the level of the bar and in a drum sliding at the level of each segment. A spring exerts a centrifugal radial force on the segments, the bar and each segment are in contact through oblique support surfaces and stop surfaces are provided between each segment and each drum to transmit to the latter the axial component, due to the said oblique surfaces, of the total radial force of the spring.

    摘要: Provided herein are multiple variations, applications, and variations for producing electrical power from a flowing fluid such as a gas or liquid under pressure, for example natural gas flowing through a pipeline, by means of one or more positive displacement devices that drive one or more electrical generators. The electrical generators may be immersed in the flow stream together with the positive displacement devices as disclosed, or alternately may be isolated from the flow stream, such as by magnetic coupling, in order to promote longevity and to decrease the risk of accidental discharge or explosion of the fluid in the flow stream. To further decrease such risks, the positive displacement devices may isolate the drive fluid from the environment without the use of dynamic seals.

    摘要: A vane type fluid machine includes: a casing; a rotor rotating in the casing; and a plurality of vanes supported by the rotor to slide on an inner surface of the casing. A seal portion of each vane is formed to be elastically deformable so as to slide on the inner surface of the casing while bending backward of a rotational direction of the rotor. Therefore, an improved structure of the seal portion of each vane secures good sealing performance even if machining accuracy of the inner surface of the casing is alleviated.
