摘要: A sealing device that is capable of suppressing the generation of unusual noise by guiding a gas flow and suppressing the generation of unusual noise caused by resonance between the gas flow and a pipe. An intake noise reduction portion (20) includes a flow-guiding net portion (21) for guiding a gas flowing in an intake pipe, an annular frame body portion (22) for supporting the flow-guiding net portion (21), a cylindrical portion (23) that extends from the frame body portion (22) in a direction in which the pipe extends, and is fitted into an inner circumferential surface of a second pipe (220) and a flange portion (24) that extends from an end portion of the cylindrical portion (23) toward an outer circumferential surface side, and is disposed in a space between an end surface of a first pipe (210) and an end surface of the second pipe (220). A gasket portion (10) is provided on both surfaces of the flange portion (24).

摘要: A method for manufacturing a resonator is disclosed in which a sleeve insert is placed into a fixture within a blow molding apparatus. The sleeve insert has a wall with a first plurality of apertures in the wall at a first axial distance and a second plurality of apertures in the wall at a second axial distance. A parison is slid over the sleeve insert; the mold is clamped over the parison causing the parison to press into the sleeve insert at three locations: near the ends of the sleeve insert and at a location between the pluralities of apertures; and air is blown into the sleeve insert, via a blow pin, to expand the parison into the walls of the mold to form cavities proximate the first and second pluralities of aperatures. After cooling, the mold opens to release the newly formed resonator.

At least one air intake opening for fresh air is provided in the housing and opens into the resonator chamber. At least one air exhaust opening for fresh air is provided in the housing and opens into the resonator chamber. The at least one air exhaust opening is also an intake opening of an auxiliary device, especially an air compressor.

摘要: A resonator is disclosed which includes: a sleeve insert and an outer duct sealingly coupled to the sleeve insert. The sleeve insert has a wall with a first aperture in the wall at a first axial distance, a second aperture in the wall at a second axial distance, and a rib extending radially outwardly with the rib located between the first and second apertures. The outer duct sealingly couples to the sleeve insert proximate first and second ends of the inner sleeve and at the rib. The sleeve insert and the outer duct are formed of plastic materials which are coupled by welding or via o-rings placed on the sleeve insert. Cavities, in the vicinity of the apertures, are formed in the outer duct. The cavities, which are fluidly coupled to the sleeve insert via the apertures, attenuate noise.

A funnel portion is formed in a portion connected from the surge tank to the independent intake passage, and the weld line is formed so as to cross over a portion near the funnel portion. A funnel partition wall separating a plurality of independent intake passages is formed in the funnel portion so as to protrude from one piece to another piece. A funnel wall receiving portion receiving the funnel partition wall is formed in another piece, and the funnel partition wall and the funnel wall receiving portion are welded in bonded surfaces.

摘要: A silencer for attenuating a sound includes an inner duct in which gas flows, and an outer duct surrounding the inner duct with a gas layer formed between the outer duct and the inner duct. The sound is generated in one of an upstream side of the inner duct in a gas flow direction, a downstream side of the inner duct in the flow direction, and an inside of the inner duct. The inner duct includes a thin film over its entire surface. The film has a first reinforcement section formed in a direction parallel to the flow direction, and a plurality of vibrating surfaces. The film is bent at the first reinforcement section. Each combination of adjacent two of the plurality of vibrating surfaces is connected by the first reinforcement section. The first reinforcement section of the inner duct is fixed to the outer duct.

摘要: An active noise attenuation system includes a speaker housing for a speaker assembly that attenuates noise generated by an air induction system for a vehicle engine. The speaker housing is a generic housing formed from plastic that can be utilized with many different vehicle types. An air cleaner housing is positioned between the speaker housing and the engine for filtering out contaminants from the air before the air is drawn into the engine. Brackets are joined to the air cleaner and speaker housings for mounting the housings to a vehicle structure.
