摘要： A fastening element (20) is provided for use with a tightening element (14) in a device for forming a joint between two panels (18,22). The fastening element is elongate and has a head (13) at one end for engaging the tightening element, an expander (15) at the other end and a shank (11) extending there between. The fastening element further comprises a sleeve (10) having an expandable section (16) at one end extending over the expander, with the expander operatively engaging the sleeve to cause outward movement of its expandable section upon axial displacement of the fastening element relative to the sleeve. The sleeve is provided with at least one outwardly facing cutting edge (19) on its expandable section. The cutting edge has sufficient strength to cut into the panel material in use of the device, when the expandable section is inserted into a face hole in a first one of the panels.

For the purpose of stable fixing, the invention proposes that the joint fitting (6) be inserted through a hole in a covering panel (3) of the hollow panel (1) and into a counterbore on the inside of the other covering panel (4) of the hollow panel (1). As a result, the joint fitting (6) is provided with stable support against forces in a radial direction, that is to say against forces acting in the plane of the panel. There can be inserted into the joint fitting (6), for example, an eccentric clamp (19) known per se, by means of which, as a result of rotation, a tension anchor (14) can be tensioned.

摘要： A fastening element for a joint forming device includes an elongate dowel and a sleeve for the dowel. The dowel has a head portion at one end thereof which is engagable in use with a tightening element. The dowel is adapted at the other end thereof to co-operate with the sleeve to cause radial expansion of an expandable end section of the sleeve upon relative axial movement between the sleeve and dowel. The expandable end section of the sleeve is insertable axially into a mounting hole in a first panel. The head of the dowel is insertable axially into a mounting hole in a second panel whereby to enable engagement with said tightening element. The sleeve is configured to allow the position of the dowel within its mounting hole in the second panel to be adjusted to enable insertion of the expandable end section of the sleeve into its mounting hole in the first panel, in use, even if the axes of the two mounting holes are out of axial alignment.

摘要： A panel interlocking structure for adjacent panels of knock down, panel-based furniture, comprising interlock assemblies and connecting panels. Each interlock assembly consists one interlock tube, at least two cubical nuts and at least two interlock bolts. To form the interlock assembly, on a predetermined lengthen rectangular face of the interlock tube, via its corresponding predrilled trans-passing holes, fasten a predetermined number of the interlock bolts into the corresponding tread holes of the cubical nuts positioned inside the interlock tube, with each groove end of the interlock bolt positioned outwardly. Each connecting panel consists one cam lock side and two connection ends. Through the interlocking hole on the predetermined connection end of the connecting panel, the groove end of each interlocking bolt on the interlock assembly is inserted into the corresponding opening of the rotatable cam lock disposed in the dead end hole on the cam lock side of the connecting panel, and securely engages with the connecting panel by fastening the rotatable cam lock, thus thrusting engage forces to the groove end of each interlock bolt on the interlock assembly. All connecting panels are inter-connected via number of interlock assemblies. The invention provides improved durability, enhanced mobility, design-it-yourself capacity, as well as composition expandability for knock down, panel based furniture.

摘要： A connecting fitting for releasably connecting two platelike furniture members includes two connecting members which are adapted to be secured to respective of the furniture members. A first connecting member is in the form of a casing with a cylindrical shell in which is positioned a spring loaded rotary wedge. The casing has an opening in its cylindrical shell through which the head of the pin-like connecting member is insertable into the casing. The rotary wedge releasably engages the underside of the head of the pin-like connecting member when in the inserted position. A tightening element is provided in the casing and is acted upon by a spring whereby rotation of the tightening element will result in rotation of the rotary wedge and vice versa.

The connecting hardware includes a bolt which protrudes from one furniture part and can be introduced into a recess in the second furniture part. The bolt is held in a connecting position by a tensioning element provided in the recess and which engages the free end of the bolt, the bolt being held in a fastening bushing inserted in the first furniture part. The end section of the bolt is offset eccentrically to the center axis of the bolt and is disposed rotatably in an associated accommodating opening of the fastening bushing. The accommodating opening for holding the end section in turn is offset by the same amount eccentrically to the external diameter of the fastening bushing. The eccentricity of the end section and of the associated accommodating opening is selected so that the accommodating opening extends to the outside with formation of a slot-like opening in the fastening bushing. In the region of the end section of the bolt, in the specified fastening position of rotation of the bolt, at least one anchoring rib, which is sharpened blade-like and extends in the peripheral direction, is provided in the free-cut opening.
