摘要:
A modular frame for seats or furnishing elements provided with a supporting surface includes a plurality of section bars that are adapted to be rigidly constrained to one another so as to define the frame of the supporting surface. The cross section of the section bars is at least partially hollow and substantially triangular and is provided with an opening configured to allow a conveniently shaped terminal part of fixing elements to be longitudinally inserted in the section bar in order to join at least two section bars.

The invention relates to an element having expandable legs for interconnecting the mitred ends of frame sections. The legs of the connecting element are expanded equally by a single forcing means, such as a screw, the axis of which coincides with a line representing the interface between the mitred ends of the frame sections.

The assembly system has several profiled bars connected to each other, each of which has at least one clamping channel open to the outside with a bottom surface and two lateral surfaces. They are connected by an elongated or angled connecting element with two opposing external clamping surfaces, at least certain sections of which are straight, and an expansion joint extending between the external clamping surfaces. The connecting element is introduced into the clamping channel, and at least one spreading element is introduced into at least one section of the expansion joint in such a way that the external clamping surfaces of the connecting element are clamped against the lateral surfaces of the clamping channel of at least one profiled bar. The connecting element is covered at the ends by an extensible terminal element, which covers the expansion joint.
摘要:
A frame structure comprising hollow members of polygonal crosssection, hollow members forming different frame portions being interconnected by means of spreadable coupling units comprising loosely assembled parts held in predetermined positions within said hollow members and adapted to be braced in at least two directions in pairs against the inside surfaces of said hollow members.
摘要:
Corner joints and methods of forming such joints using hollow frame members are described. The corner joints are manufactured using corner keys inserted into the ends of the frame members. In addition to holding the frame members together, one or more capillary break members protrude from the corner key so that the one or more capillary break members are located between the assembled frame members and the corner key forming the corner joint.

The lateral surfaces of the clamping channel have a first ribbing, and the external clamping surfaces of the connecting element have a second ribbing, which is transverse to the first ribbing, so that, by clamping the two ribbings together, a type of permanent cold-weld joint is produced between the lateral surfaces of the clamping channel and the external clamping surfaces of the connecting element.

A clamp assembly for use in constructing a picture frame consists of two superposed, separate plates. One plate has a threaded aperture for receipt of a jacking screw, and the other has a recess for engaging the tip of the screw, the axes of which are offset when the lateral edges of the plates are in mutual registry. Advancement of the screw separates and shifts the plates, thus exerting lateral as well as a transverse gripping forces upon the frame members.
