    摘要： A plate heat exchanger comprising a set of heat exchanger plates arranged between a frame plate and a pressure plate. A guide bar guides the set of heat exchanger plates and the pressure plate relatively the frame plate, a tightening member is arranged on the guide bar and a plate engager is arranged intermediate the tightening member and the pressure plate for allowing the tightening member to press the pressure plate in a direction towards the frame plate. The plate engager is releasable and the tightening member is configured to protect the guide bar, such that the pressure plate may move in a direction from the frame plate and past the tightening member when the plate engager is released. A related method is also described.

    摘要： A support member such as a skid is attached to a frame of a machine or similar apparatus by means of a bolt extending through an aperture in the support member. The head of the bolt is engaged by a bifurcated retention means, the outer dimension of which is greater than the corresponding aperture dimension. The skid is readily released from the supported machine with minimum time and effort by manually applying sufficient force to the support member in a direction generally away from the frame, thereby deforming and reducing the outer dimension of the retention means and allowing it and the bolt head to pass through the aperture in the support member.

    摘要： A non-displaceable, self-righting shim for use in any application where critical alignment is required of adjacent vertical elements. The shim presents an elongated central opening including a large upper portion and a small lower portion, and a slot having an exit end communicating with the central opening and an entrance end at the perimeter edge of the shim. The weight distribution of the shim relative to the large upper portion is such that the shim will hang in a normal upright position with the small lower portion and the slot below the large upper portion. The arrangement assures positive placement of the shim once installed; avoids loosening and fall-off of the shim which may be caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the shimmed element and/or by vibrations associated with the adjacent vertical elements; and eliminates the need for holding the shim in position while securing the fastener.
