    摘要: A nuclear facility comprising an anchor device is provided. This anchor device comprises a female part and a male part. The female part includes a groove extending along a longitudinal axis. The groove has a width which decreases longitudinally and a transverse section. The male part includes a slider with a shape mating that of the groove and is able to be longitudinally inserted into the groove. The transverse section of the groove is configured so as to prevent the extraction of the slider out of the groove transversely to the longitudinal axis. The anchor device includes a locking device able to prevent the slider from longitudinally sliding out of the groove.

    摘要: A pocket-cutting/screw-insertion system is configured for cutting screw pockets in a work piece and inserting screws therein. The system includes a clamp assembly, a router assembly, a drill assembly, and a delivery/insertion assembly including a screw delivery tube for delivering a screw, a stop block for arresting forward motion of the screw, an insertion rod for pushing the screw into the screw pocket and screw bore, and a screw channel for supporting the screw as it is inserted into the screw pocket and screw bore, wherein the stop block is positioned above the insertion rod and the screw channel such the screw first falls from the stop block onto the insertion rod once the stop block arrests forward motion of the screw and then falls from the insertion rod onto the screw channel. A method of using the system is also disclosed.

    摘要: A self-aligning coupling device for installation in a channel having an open end and a pair of substantially parallel side walls. The device includes an elongate connecting portion having a longitudinal axis, a channel abutment portion, and at least one laterally projecting lug. In use, the coupling device is installed in the channel with the channel abutment portion located at least partially within the channel and the laterally projecting lug located outside the open end of the channel. The channel abutment portion is formed such that when aligned in a first angular position within the channel it abuts the side walls of the channel to prevent rotation of the device in a first rotational direction about said longitudinal axis, while allowing rotation in a second, opposed rotational direction. The lug is formed such that in said first angular position it extends beyond at least one of the side walls of the channel. When the coupling device is retracted into the channel while simultaneously applying a torque to rotate the device in said first rotational direction towards said first angular position, the channel abutment portion abuts the side walls of the channel thereby aligning the lug to extend beyond at least one of the side walls of the channel and preventing the coupling device from being fully retracted into the channel. Various methods and apparatus for applying suitable translational and rotational forces to the self-aligning coupling device, and to form adjustable clamp assemblies, are also provided.

    摘要: A method of joining a first sheet-metal member to a second sheet-metal member in a right-angle relationship using an H-shaped interlocking member. An opening is provided near an edge of the second sheet metal member with a channel communicating the opening and the edge. The opening is sufficiently wide to allow the H-shaped member to be rotated therein so as to allow the upper and lower slots of the H-shaped member to engage with the second sheet-metal member. A tapped hole is provided in the center section of the H-shaped member, aligned with the channel, so as to allow a screw to be inserted through a hole on the first sheet-metal member and then the channel to engage with the tapped hole. After the screw is tightened, the surface of the first sheet metal member is securely joined to the edge of the second sheet metal member.

    摘要: An expansion sleeve has a leading end and a trailing end, and an expander member is located at the leading end and can be drawn into the sleeve for expanding the same, by turning of a threaded member which extends through the sleeve and is engaged with the expander member. The threaded member has a portion extending outwardly beyond the trailing end of the sleeve. A nut is threaded onto this portion, and a mounting bracket, folded to form a passage, is placed onto this portion, so that the portion extends through the passage and the mounting bracket is located between the nut and the trailing end of the expansion sleeve. The mounting bracket is formed with cutouts or the like to which securing members for elements to be suspended can be fastened.
