摘要： A magnetic thrust bearing is designed for use in a pumping system that includes a pump driven by a motor through a shaft. The magnetic thrust bearing includes one or more platters that remain stationary with respect to the shaft and one or more thrust discs connected to the shaft and interleaved with the one or more platters. Each of the one or more platters includes a plurality of platter magnets and each of the one or more thrust discs includes a plurality of thrust disc magnets. The magnets on the platters and thrust discs are configured to produce repulsive magnetic forces as the thrust discs approach the platters.

摘要： A non-magnetic ball housing can include an enclosed end and an open end. A plurality of non-magnetic ball bearings can be positioned within the enclosed end of the non-magnetic housing. A ball magnet can be adjacent to the plurality of non-magnetic ball bearings. A non-magnetic restraining plate can be coupled to the open end of the non-magnetic housing to secure the ball magnet within the non-magnetic ball housing while allowing the ball magnet to freely rotate within the non-magnetic ball housing. The non-magnetic restraining plate can include a restraining plate opening such that at least a portion of the ball magnet protrudes out of the restraining plate opening. A diameter of the restraining plate opening can be less than a diameter of the ball magnet. A metal channel can be magnetically coupled to at least a portion of the ball magnet protruding out of the restraining plate opening.

摘要： A bearing ring, in particular of a rolling bearing or a sliding bearing, including a body made of a magnetostrictive material, having a first raceway (2) and a second, axially spaced apart, raceway (2′) and a permanent magnetization (3) which is impressed into the material of the body between the raceways (2, 2′) and which runs around an axis of rotation (9) of the body. According to the invention, the bearing ring achieves the object of improving the structural integration of a torque sensor into a bearing, which torque sensor generates a torque-dependent magnetic field by utilizing the inverse magnetostrictive effect.

摘要： A bearing system comprised of a base made of a magnetic material. The bearing system is also comprised of an element disposed adjacent the base. The element is comprised of a device for creating a separation force and a positive stiffness between the element and the base such that a gap is formed therebetween. The element is also comprised of a device for generating magnetic flux such that a closed magnetic flux circuit is formed through the element, the base and the gap creating a preload force and a negative stiffness between the element and the base. The positive stiffness is greater than a negative stiffness, and the preload force essentially balances the separation force. In a preferred embodiment, the creating device includes a device for flowing fluid through the element such that a fluid pressure is formed between the element and the base, resulting in the presence of the gap and the positive stiffness.
