    摘要: A device for coupling an inner shaft and an outer shaft includes balls arranged in rows between axial grooves of the inner shaft and axial grooves of the outer shaft, enabling the shafts to slide in the direction of a common axis. Each row of balls is maintained by a double elastic member that bears in the groove of one of the inner or outer shafts and urges the balls along two rolling tracks so that they come into contact with the groove of the other of the inner and outer shafts. The two rolling tracks are hinged through a convex pivot surface and a corresponding concave support face of one of the inner and outer shafts, and a difference between the radii of the pivot surface and the support face defines two contact areas and a pivot axis parallel to the common axis.

The rod-shaped element (3) is connected at the entrance into the mixing chamber (5) to a membrane (6) that is part of a wall (7) of the mixing chamber (5), and the rod-shaped element (3) can be put in a wobbling motion by the drive (4) so that its end inside the mixing chamber (5) executes a circular motion. The end of the rod-shaped element (3) located in the mixing chamber (5) attacks the tool (2) eccentrically to its axis of rotation.

    摘要: A flexible coupling for drivingly connecting driving and driven members and for accommodating both angular and endwise misalignment of such members comprises a plurality of quadrilateral flex frames arranged face-to-face along the central axis of the coupling. The two end frames are connected respectively to the driving and driven members through opposite corner portions of each such frame. Among the flex frames themselves, each frame is connected to the next adjacent frame by having two of its opposite corner portions rigidly connected to two opposite corner portions of the adjacent frame. The joint between each pair of connected corner portions is of an improved construction which maximizes the flexing length of the flex frame legs and otherwise provides benefits resulting in the coupling having improved performance and reliability, particularly with regard to applications requiring the transmission of high levels of torque at high rotational speeds and with possibly high amounts of angular and endwise misalignment.

    摘要: A universal joint is provided for transmitting torque from one shaft to another, and more specifically for use with shafts where angular misalignment is not excessive. Basically, the universal joint has at least two members connected to two shafts which tend to be angularly misaligned, with each member having at least two extremities extending transversely outwardly beyond the corresponding shaft. The extremities have projections extending toward one another and flexible bridging strips are connected between the projections of the members, the strips lying substantially in a plane which is parallel to the planes in which the members rotate when the shafts are aligned. The flexible strips comprise multiplicities of substantially parallel fibers extending the lengths of the strips and are effective in tension to transmit torque from one of the shafts to the other.
