摘要: A rotary engine, parts thereof, and methods associated therewith is provided. The engine is modular and adjustable to accommodate a variety of requirements and preferences. The system includes a combustion assembly having a housing and a power rotor positioned therein. The power rotor rotates in a first direction from the beginning of each combustion process through the end of each exhaust process. The system also includes a compression assembly linked to the combustion assembly such that the compression rotor rotates in the first direction from the beginning of each intake process through the end of each compression process. A tank assembly in fluid communication with the compression assembly and the combustion assembly provides stability to the system while eliminating or otherwise reducing transitional loses.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to improvement of a cylinder structure of an internal combustion engine, in particular to a cylinder structure of a rotary piston internal combustion engine. 摘要: This patent discloses thrust vectoring ignition chamber engine in which ignition chamber is an annular cylinder having nozzles mounted such that during fuel suction phase they are sealed and during ignition of fuel they are unsealed so that hot jets of ignited fuel escaping through nozzles cause coupled rotatory motion on the ignition chamber. Engine uses specially designed dwell barrel cam mechanism for two phase suction and compression of fuel which facilitates the separation of fuel valve from ignition chamber. Flywheel mounted on extension of ignition chamber functions as output of the engine. Timing of electrically controlled nozzle seal and fuel valve can be adjusted so that each half rotation of flywheel completes three phases namely fuel/air suction, compression and combustion, instead of two rotations as required in engine according to prior art. This engine can give improved power boost by firing for every half revolution.

摘要: An engine includes a housing defining an annular bore and a piston assembly disposed within the annular bore. The engine includes at least one valve configured to oscillate between a first position within the annular bore to allow the piston assembly to travel from a first location proximate to the at least one valve to a second location distal to the at least one valve and a second position to define a combustion chamber relative to the piston assembly at the second location. The engine includes an exhaust gas port disposed in fluid communication with the combustion chamber and a fuel distribution assembly configured to mix fuel from a fuel source and air from an air source into a fuel and air mixture at a location external to the combustion chamber and to deliver the fuel and air mixture to the combustion chamber.

摘要: A rotary engine including a housing and housing head enclosing a combustion chamber, a piston including an output shaft and a piston disk within the housing and rotatable on a piston rotation axis, a quadrant within the housing and around the piston and rotatable on a quadrant rotation axis, wherein the quadrant rotation axis is acutely angled to the piston rotation axis, and a post surrounding a segment of the piston disk. The post pivots relative to the piston about a post-piston rotation axis that is normal to the face of the piston disk. The post pivots relative to the quadrant about a post-quadrant pivot axis that is perpendicular to the quadrant rotation axis. The post rotates about the quadrant rotation axis relative to the housing. Combusting fuel injected into the combustion chamber expands and pushes on the piston disk to rotate the output shaft about the piston rotation axis.

摘要: An engine assembly including an engine core including at least one internal combustion engine each including a rotor sealingly and rotationally received within a respective internal cavity to provide rotating chambers of variable volume in the respective internal cavity, a compressor having an outlet in fluid communication with an inlet of the engine core, a first intake conduit in fluid communication with an inlet of the compressor and with a first source of air, a second intake conduit in fluid communication with the inlet of the compressor and with a second source of air warmer than the first source of air, and a selector valve configurable to selectively open and close at least the fluid communication between the inlet of the compressor and the first intake conduit. A method of supplying air to a compressor is also discussed.

摘要: An internal combustion engine including internal cavities slidingly receiving a respective piston to define a respective combustion chamber, at least one inlet port for each internal cavity in fluid communication with the combustion chamber at least during the intake phase and a beginning of the compression phase, at least one exhaust port for each of the internal cavities and in fluid communication with the combustion chamber during the exhaust phase, a plenum for receiving pressurized air, and conduits in fluid communication with the plenum. Each conduit defines a fluid communication between a first respective internal cavity and a second respective internal cavity through the inlet ports. The combustion chamber of the first respective internal cavity undergoes the beginning of the compression phase simultaneously with the combustion chamber of the second respective internal cavity undergoing the beginning of the intake phase.
