    摘要: A payload isolation system for isolating a payload from a base structure upon which the payload is supported. The payload isolation system includes: a motion constraint for maintaining a parallel relationship between the payload and the base structure; and a support for providing vertical and/or lateral support of the payload relative to the base structure such that the transmission of vertical and/or lateral vibration between the payload and the base structure are suppressed. The support means preferably exhibits nonlinear elastic characteristics in response to an effective weight of the payload. The non-linear elastic characteristics preferably include a substantially rigid characteristic at low and high levels of deformation and a compliant characteristic at intermediate levels of deformation. In yet another preferred implementation, the motion constraint means are mechanical linkages.

    摘要: A hole is formed in a damper rubber, where by when a compressive load is small, pillar portions undergo a flexural deformation so as to result in buckling deformation. On the other hand, when the compressive load becomes large, the hole collapses and the damper rubber undergoes a compressive deformation so as to collapse itself. Thus, since the damper rubber has a non-linear characteristic such that an elastic modulus thereof at an amount of deformation exceeding a predetermined amount is larger than that at an amount of deformation less than the predetermined amount, the transmission of a large torque can be implemented while absorbing a torque fluctuation sufficiently.

In a preferred embodiment, the spring units are composed of polyurethane which are blow molded such that a string of bellows-like springs are provided, with the axial ends of each spring being free for axial compression, while the sides of the springs are left attached to each other during the blow molding process. In another embodiment, the blow molded springs each include a vent hole which affects the dynamic cushioning properties of the springs. In another embodiment, extruded tubes of particular configurations are slotted at spaced-apart intervals such that independent spring units are provided, with the axial ends of each spring being free for axial compression. The array of spring units does not require a fabric covering as do strings of pocketed coils, but may be as easily handled, and may be connected in side-to-side abutting relationship to provide a mattress, cushion, or box spring inner construction.
