摘要: An isolator for isolating a device driven by an engine via an endless drive member is described. The isolator comprises a shaft adapter that is connectable with a shaft of the device, defining a shaft adapter axis, a rotary drive member that is rotatable relative to the shaft adapter and has an endless drive member engagement surface that is engageable with the endless drive member, and an isolation spring arrangement positioned to transfer torque between the shaft adapter and the rotary drive member. The isolation spring arrangement has at least one isolation spring that is axially offset from the endless drive member engagement surface. The at least one isolation spring has an outer edge that is radially outside the endless drive member engagement surface.

摘要: A spring assembly for absorbing and attenuating a torsional vibration includes an outer coil spring and an inner coil spring. The inner coil spring is disposed in an interior of the outer coil spring. The inner coil spring has a shorter free length than the outer coil spring. The inner coil spring is chamfered on end surfaces of both ends thereof. The inner coil spring has an outer diameter set to be smaller at least at an endmost winding on each of the ends thereof than at other windings thereof.

The stiffness K1 of the elastic member (10a) mounted between the torque input element (7) and the phasing member (30) is less than the stiffness K2 of the elastic member (10b) mounted between the phasing member (30) and the torque output element (34), the ratio K2/K1 being equal to at least 2.

摘要: A damper device includes a drive plate; a driven plate; and a torque transmission mechanism having different types of damper springs. The torque transmission mechanism transmits torque of the drive plate to the driven plate via at least one of the damper springs, wherein the torque transmission mechanism is structured to allow a combination of damper springs acting during torque transmission to be changed at lease three times as a rotation angle of the drive plate relative to the driven plate becomes greater. Each of the damper springs can be extended and compressed circumferentially about the rotation axis and is disposed at the same radial position about the rotation axis.

摘要: The invention is concerned with a torsion damping device, of the kind comprising two coaxial parts which are mounted so as to be rotatable with respect to one another against the action of circumferentially acting resilient members, with a phasing ring operatively connected between the resilient members so that the resilient members are effectively mounted for operation in series with each other. The phasing ring is maintained in a radial relationship by a plurality of pads, which being separate from each other, are spaced apart circumferentially, with each pad being individually secured to an appropriate one of the coaxial parts. The pads are preferably made from a synthetic material. The invention is especially applicable to clutches of the lock up type for use in hydrokinetic coupling apparatus for automobiles.
