Abstract:
A transmission that reduces the difference of rotational speed when engaging a main shaft-side sprocket and a main shaft-outer shaft, in a low-speed traveling mode. When shifting from first gear to neutral in the transmission, a dog on a drive gear is engaged with a dog hole in a main shaft-side sprocket, engagement between a dog on a driven gear for first gear and a dog hole in a driven gear is released, and then a first clutch and a second clutch are disconnected with the drive gear and the main shaft-side sprocket being engaged.
Abstract:
A power-steering drive for a steering system in a motor vehicle includes a motor driving a motor shaft and a transmission situated between the motor shaft and an output shaft. The transmission takes the form of a combined worm-belt transmission. Furthermore, in a method for adjusting the transmission of a power-steering drive, the adjustment is performed by solely adjusting the intermediate shaft relative to the motor shaft and/or the output shaft.
Abstract:
A power system of a bike includes a transmission module and a driven module. The transmission module includes a main shaft, on which a transmitting gear and a driving gear are located. Two one-way bearings are provided between the transmitting gear and the main shaft and between the driving gear and the main shaft. The one-way bearings are oppositely arranged. A driven gear is meshed with the transmitting gear and connected to the driving gear through a belt that the driven gear will be turned in a predetermined direction when the main shaft is turned in both directions. The driven module includes a wheel and a belt wound around the driving gear and the wheel that the wheel is turned synchronously.
Abstract:
Reverse gear for a motor vehicle transmission is achieved through a chain assembly having two sprockets and a multi-link chain. One of the sprockets is coupled to a clutch which selectively connects it to an input or output shaft. The other sprocket is directly coupled to the other, i.e., output or input shaft. The multi-link chain carries drive torque from the input shaft to the output shaft when the clutch is engaged. Because the other driving connections between the input shaft and the output shaft associated with the forward gears or gear ratios are through gears which cause a reversal of rotational direction, the driving connection achieved by the chain assembly, without a directional reversal, is, in fact, opposite in direction to the rotational direction of the forward gears, thereby providing reverse.
Abstract:
A hybrid gear/sprocket-based transmission is provided for driving a pair of coaxial, counter-rotating propellers in vessels. A drive shaft couplable to an engine crank shaft extends rearward into the transmission case, and a pair of coaxial driven shafts extend rearward out of the transmission case, to which are attachable a pair of propellers. A gear train, containing an even number of gears, reverses the rotational direction of the engine; a flexible member retains the rotational direction of the engine. Improved stability characteristics are imparted by supporting the drive shaft at two points and also by positioning the drive and the driven shafts in vertical alignment.
Abstract:
An all terrain vehicle comprising a V-belt continuously variable transmission and a gear-type transmission, being capable of transmitting drive torque from an engine with controlled engine braking but without loss of the torque, thereby giving a rider an improved driving feel. The V-belt continuously variable transmission and the gear-type transmission are placed in this order from upstream in a power transmission path from the engine to wheels. A one-way clutch for transmitting only the drive torque from the engine to the wheel and a torque limiter for transmitting the torque less than a predetermined value are arranged in parallel, between, e.g., a countershaft and forward intermediate gears fitted onto the countershaft.
Abstract:
A transmission, especially for use with small tractors and the like, provides a number of higher speed drives, typically associated with mowing, and a number of extremely slow "creep" speed drives to make said tractor more compatible with snow blower and tiller implements. All speed drives are available in a single range with each being selected sequentially by movement of a single gearshift lever. A unique reduction train exploits one or more higher speed drives to drive the "creep" speed pinions and a safer reverse speed drive at reduced rotational speed. The extremely wide speed ratio range will also dismiss the smallest pinions and severe speed increasing drives presently employed in these transmissions to greatly increase capacity and to reduce costs.

Abstract:
A vehicle is described having a transmission driven through a propulsion unit such as an engine, and through a CVT. The transmission is comprised of an input shaft and an output shaft which are coaxially disposed. An idler shaft is driven by the input shaft, and the idler shaft drives the output shaft, through selected gear sets, to provide different gear ratios or drive directions. The CVT also has a fan on the driven side which feeds air through the CVT for cooling. The CVT comprises a drive side clutch and a driven side clutch with the output shaft of the extending through the CVT driven clutch.
