Abstract: A retaining system for a solenoid assembly of a liquid adhesive dispensing system includes a quick-release mechanism configured to secure the solenoid assembly in place. The quick-release mechanism engages an air tube of the solenoid and thereby secures the entire solenoid assembly to a manifold. The quick-release mechanism can release the solenoid, facilitating easy removal of the entire solenoid assembly, by a simple turning, pushing, or pulling action on the quick-release mechanism. The released solenoid can then be removed and replaced, thereby minimizing downtime caused due to the replacement of a faulty solenoid.

Abstract: A pumping assembly comprises: a motor (24) including a stator and a rotor, the rotor configured to rotate relative the stator on a pump axis (PA); a drive mechanism (24) connected to the rotor, the drive mechanism (24) configured to receive a rotational output from the rotor and convert the rotational output into a linear input along the pump axis to cause pumping of the fluid; and a piston (34) connected to the drive mechanism (26) to receive the linear input and disposed coaxially with the drive mechanism (26) and the rotor, wherein the piston (34) is configured to reciprocate axially along the pump axis to pump fluid.

Abstract: An electrically operated pumping assembly for a plural component spray system includes an electric motor (14) having a stator (88) and a rotor (90). The rotor is disposed coaxially with first and second pumps (26a, 26b) and is configured to cause pumping by each of the first and second pumps. The first and second pumps are configured to pump different component materials to an applicator (34) for forming a plural component spray material. A drive mechanism (86) is disposed between and connected to each of the rotor and the fluid displacement members (70a, 70b) of the first and second pumps. The drive mechanism receives a rotational output from the rotor and provides a linear input to the first and second pumps to cause pumping.

Abstract: An adaptive hot melt feed system includes a melt system, a feed system, a gas control device, a sensor, and a controller. The melt system includes a heated vessel. The feed system is configured to deliver a solid material to the vessel of the melt system for melting. The gas control device is configured to control a supply of gas provided to the feed system to drive the solid material from the feed system to the melt system. The sensor can be configured to detect an amount of material in the vessel of the melt system. The controller is in electronic communication with the gas control device and is programmed to signal the gas control device to vary the supply of gas to the feed system based on a fill metric determined by the controller.
