    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a high performance butterfly valve liner, comprising: a pre-processing step of preparing in advance a PTFE sheet and a cap in a predetermined size and thickness; a first welding step of welding the cap on a hole after forming the hole at a specific position of the prepared PTFE sheet; a second welding step of welding the end of the PTFE sheet after the first welding so as to form the PTFE sheet in a cylindrical shape; and a flaring step of carrying out flaring for spreading the end of the cylindrical PTFE sheet in the shape of a trumpet by means of a flaring tool, thereby finishing a liner. According to the method for manufacturing a high performance butterfly valve liner of the present invention, easy and simple manufacture is possible thereby reducing work time and manufacturing costs. In addition, a large-diameter valve can be readily manufactured without limitations on the size to be formed.

    摘要: A gate valve includes a valve body with a flow passage intersected by a gate cavity. The gate valve also includes a gate with a gate body. The gate body has a downstream gate body face, and an upstream gate body face on an opposite side of the gate body. A seat ring is located between each gate body face and the valve body, at the intersection of the flow passage and the gate cavity. Each seat ring has a seat ring face proximate to the gate. At least one removable insert is located between one of the seat ring faces and one of the gate body faces. The insert is removably coupled to one of the faces and formed of a material harder and more wear resistant as compared to the gate body and the seat ring.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for selectively blocking or redirecting flow with a valve that compensates for misalignment between a seat and a gate are disclosed. In one aspect, a valve includes a gate having two discs spaced from one another, first and second seats within first and second passageways of the valve, respectively, and at least one lever arm coupled to an actuator for rotating the gate, thereby diverting flow. The lever arm is disposed between the discs and pivotally couples to the gate such that the pivoting movement of the gate enables compensation for the misalignment. A method includes rotating a gate from a first position with a plane of the gate axially aligned with flow to a second position with the disc initially contacting a seat and compensating for the misalignment by pivoting the gate with respect to the lever arm such that the gate squarely contacts the seat.
